Offered for sale is a stunning 1973 Ferrari 246 Dino GTS. finished in the desirable color combination of “Giallo Dino” yellow over a black interior. This pristine and immaculate example is a documented Classiche Certified car that was restored to tools by FA Bernhofer in Salzburg. Austria.

Delivered new in November 1973. this highly optioned example with the desirable fender flares & Daytona seats resided in the San Francisco Bay Area until 1989. when it then left California for Germany. Starting in 2006 the car underwent a comprehensive nut and bolt restoration. including a rebuilt drivetrain. new suspension and brakes. as well as interior. body. paint and cosmetics. Following completion in 2007. the car was given Classiche Certificazione di autenticita by the Ferrari factory. and was then sold through the Ferrari SpA Circuito di Fiorano Maranello RM Auction: Legenda e Passione to yet another California buyer. and the car has been in the SF Bay Area ever since. We have had a few questions come up regarding the stated history of this car. here are a few notes to clear any confusion.

We are offering this beautiful car on behalf of our client. unfortunately we have been at the mercy of others for correct information prior to the car's restoration. The information we have been given regarding this car is a result of researching prior ownership through the Dino Registry. & published data from both the RM Auction & Factory certification from 2006-2007.

Within that research. information existed that the car was originally equipped with the Daytona seats & fender flares. however those items are obviously not present now. They may have been changed at the time of the restoration. or the original information may have been incorrect. Nonetheless. what you see in the pictures is the exact car you are bidding on.

This car is NOT a Euro version. nbsp;it apparently has Euro marker lights. however it is a US spec car that was delivered new in 1973 in the SF Bay Area.

According to a tag on the car. the color is listed as "Giallo Dino". however the documentation we have from multiple sources say it is painted "Giallo Fly" or Fly Yellow.

No misrepresentation was intended by any of these oversights. however make no mistake this is one of the finest examples available. We are happy to provide any information to serious prospective buyer. please contact us with any questions.
