1928 studebaker dictator

1928 studebaker dictator . fitted with 1931 chevrolet ohv 6 and matching synchro box (original. good. matching numbers engine and box with all parts to re fit accompany the car on wheeled trolly)  make this a real pleasure to drive. everything is 'in the right place' and gives a great  vintage car experiece without the hassel and headaches. ie model T. my wife loves this old girl and isnt keen on selling her. but. it has to move on. We have owned her for six years and have undertaken a massive amount of work on her. im not going to list it all here. as nobody ever reads it any way. but heres a very short list. new tyres and tubes etc supplied and correctly fitted by vintage tyres. fully reconditioned road springs x4. timber frame sympatheticaly re built in finest ash by professional coachbuilder. new running boards from marine ply with all new aluminium trims/tread plates and rubber. And loads more. you have to talk to me. i dont get much spare time. and DO NOT DO E-MAIL PING PONG. frankly life is too short to spend an evening glued to my laptop. but im more than happy to have a chat and answer any questions you may have and also reveal her interesting history. 07707878435 after 6pm please and anytime at weekends.

You must remember this old lady is just that. OLD. and is far from perfect. its also far from 'perfect car' money. the paint is old. and showing a nice warm patina. its sound and has a great shine. plenty good enough for shows and weddings etc. the interior is in great condition showing no sign of heavy wear. no rips or tears. possibly retrimmed some years ago in the states. mechanically the car is in very good fettle. we have just made the most of the bank holiday weekend here on the isle of wight. its a great car to drive. has a fantastic presence on the road and makes friends wherever she goes. from the look of awe on a four year olds face to smiles. waves. and thumbs ups from modern car drivers. you cant be shy as people want to stop and talk about her. not always good if youre parked at the pub and trying to make it to the bar before the coach party:)

This car is running sweetly and strong. drives very nicely given her age. but could do with a few tinkering jobs. nothing major. im not going into it here. as i figure any one with a serious wish to own a vintage car will accept this and actually enjoy working on it as i have. She is large and comfortable. will transport you and your family easily. and you dont need a huge barn to house her in. she fits my standard domestic garage with room to spare.  

I will accept a sensible near offer on the price. i am not interested in swaps. either way. and i will not sell the engine gearbox/spares seperatly.
