Well this is a hard decision and to be honest my mind isn't fully made up so I may remove this before the end of the auction and keep it. I love this car and its costs nothing to keep (Free tax and NO mot required) but I could do with some extra money for a drag car I am building. Not sure where to start it's a 1934 Standard 10hp(deluxe this one came with 12hp) on a Reliant Scimitar chassis with a rover v8 Engine. I built this car a few years back and have done about 2000 miles in it driving to local shows and just taking it out for Sunday blasts . The car is in matt black and has been painted since some of the pics and I will maybe paint it again this weekend as I normally give it a fresh coat at the start of every summer . he car only has glass in 3 of the windows the two front doors and a front windscreen which can open but if you value your sight you will keep closed above 4mph. I have never bothered putting windows in the back doors or rear because its quite warm in the car with its v8 heater and I rest my arm on the window ledge/frame? You sit in the back I am around 6ft but the steering wheel is on an original adjustable steering column so for those of a shorter leg driving comfort can still be achieved.

The engine I was told was from a sd1 rover but they all are apparently so I took the car to a rolling road just out of interest and it made 140. 7 bhp /174. 4 lbft torque (I have the print out here too)so its not too shy in a car that doesn't weight much and from 1934 it has a rover 5 speed manual gearbox in . he SU carbs could do with a clean and set up. its had all new plugs put in last year and then it stood all winter I have only used it twice this year and done around 80 miles if that but I was planning on doing `hotrods n hills` in it and still will if I keep it I would have no worries driving it a long distance just not in the rain as it has no wipers. you did not need them for the mot and it was something I never got around to fitting as I only use it in the dry.

The interior is a bit minimal with a spattering of old spanners used as Door handles. peddles. one of the prop guards . The gearbox tunnel is made of wood and the dash is the original the speedo does work but to an accuracy of around 30mph each way of your “true” speed. the dash is brass under the paint or what ever is on it. The seat is the original back seat and as you can see it has some rips and damage in it but I left it in because I kind of like it. the steering wheel is the original one too and does a good job it can also adjust forwards and backwards around 7”. he car drives like a normal car really because of the chassis it stops really well too and that was a key thing in the building I wanted it to be safe in that respect I fitted new bushes all around on the suspension and new discs and pads to the front brakes and rebuilt the backs with new shoes . t does have a handbrake that's behind the seat (see pic) I never use it so put that out the way.

The exterior well not sure where to start with this the roof is down by 6” the bonnet is extended about 8” and the grill is the original one . t is painted black but is brass underneath . the rear end was really quite rusty so a lot of it was cut out and replaced and the rear wings were missing so the ones I now has are from a Morris 12 and are much wider than the original ones . he front wings are original standard items . he roof has a big infill panel In I think that's original too but its in good condition either way. The back doors are welded shut only spot welded but really they are useless you just use the front which open the `Suicide` way which I always feel is a plus . he running boards are wood ex scaffolding boards and can support  2 people with ease if you need to take more than one friend on a drive .

The fuel tank is a home made job made with baffles in side and a one off m`bro tap handle as a cap. the fuel is then fed via a Holley fuel pump to the carbs . I have a sheet of metal I put over this and that gives you some storage space in the back and there is also some space behind the seats . The exhaust is a custom one off with just the back box for silencing its not overly loud but it does sound nice little vid here

I will have missed loads out but this car is a one off it's the only 34 standard 10 hotrod I have ever seen and they are not a common car at all anyway. I have removed the number plate from the pics its on the front wing (you may be able to tell where) and the rear plate is the original one. The car is what some would call a ratrod so please dont come expecting something with pretty paint and beautiful perfect bodywork if thats what you want you have just wasted your time reading all the above . ou could make this car like that if you wanted to fill it with filler etc but to me thats not what its about the car is as old as my gran keep that in mind.

As I said at the start im really not sure if I want to sell this so please no dreamers. no silly offers or swaps I already have the new (old) car. I would really suggest you come and view the car so you know exactly what its all about and the true condition but only if you are really serious and have the money. any bids by members with less than 5 feedback will be removed unless you email me first . nd payment must be cash in my hand with a deposit via gift of £100 with in 12 hours . he car also must be collected within 7 days. Thanks. any questions just ask. I do not have a price in mind I really don't know where to start with value so no buy it now price.

Just Painted this yesterday and took a little vid of it running with a walk around it . t sounds nothing like the video in person and the engine was cold when I took the vid hence the little bit higher tickover http://www. youtube. com/watch?v=wAe0aIMGyNE&feature=youtu. be . forgot to mention this lights all work and have high beam also indicators are built into the front lights .
