   Here is my 1987 GMC Sierra Classic 1500 4X4 . I have owned this truck for 20 years & one of my best friends ordered and bought it new .   This truck has never been mistreated or abused or modified . It has been garage kept the entire time I've owned it . It was my second vehicle so it did not get driven for daily use in the last 20 years . It had 56K on it when I bought it & now has 123K miles on it .  I've only put about 200 miles on it in the last 2 years because I now have numerous other vehicles . If your into the 81-87 trucks . this is the year to have because it was the first year for the fuel injection in addition this truck is very well optioned right down to the power windows . This truck would be a real easy restoration because its never seen hard use and has the hardest to find gm parts it needs are included . Its not all beat up like most are & still runs great . The inside of the bed is probably dent free because it had a bed liner from the factory .     Options : Sierra Classic 1500 . 350 . uel injected . /2 ton . WD . 00R4 automatic . limited slip rear . PS . C . B . ual gas tanks . ower door locks & Power Windows . AM FM stereo cassette . door edge guards. cloth seat. Tilt steering . glide out spare tire carrier . 2 tone dark blue & silver with red / silver stripe w/ trim . Except for maintenance items . some paint work . added trailer brakes and front mud flaps this truck is completely original including the factory stereo cassette player & original floor mats and carpets .          There is not 1 hole drilled anywhere in this truck that the factory did not put there. I have every piece of factory paperwork . owners manual . letters . receipts . financing agreement & build sheet that the truck had since it was new . This truck was almost $20. 00. 00 back in 1986. Since I've owned it I did put a starter . water pump. RH fuel tank . tune up & related parts & AC compressor on it. The AC was changed over to R134 & currently needs to be charged . The tires . muffler & tail pipe & shocks have less that 1000 miles on them . Body: This truck does need a repaint . All of the silver has been repainted except the RH side of the bed which has touch ups because of peeling which doesnt matter at this point beings it needs a repaint . The cab corners need to be fixed . but are not as bad as most so fixing them should not be too involved . The inner parts of the cab corners are still fine . nbsp;its just the outer skin that needs to be fixed .  The rocker panels do have some surface rust & I would expect to have to have to replace them when doing the body . I'm including an NOS GM set of rocker panels which cost me over $450. 00 last year . The doors are bad along the bottoms & need to be changed . I'm including an NOS GM pair of doors with the truck which cost me $950. 00 at shop cost back in the late 90's .  Both are still in the box. There is a small dent in the bottom of the tail gate which can easily be fixed. I have a decent used trim panel for the tail gate to go with it . I also have  NOS hood emblem to go with it .  The under carriage could stand to be cleaned up with a sandblaster in places & painted with a chassis paint. My garage is not insulated so the truck sweats in certain temperatures causing surface rust in addition to some surface rusting from daily use .    The spare tire rack has some rust & needs to be replaced . o Im including a good used one which I just paid $300. 00 for last week  .    Interior : I put a seat cover over the seat as soon as I bought it . however there is some wear to the original seat cover . I have a new after market seat cover sitting on the floor in the pics to go with the truck. The dash pad has a crack. A place called Just Dashes does a great job restoring them so it can be repaired . The original carpets could be cleaned to look decent . Dash & door panels & seat belts are still real nice . I took the headliner out when it started to come down 17 years ago . I still have it so it can be restored & put back in .     The areas that were repaired over the years on the body were the left front fender got hit with a shopping cart when it was almost new & I put a small dent below the left tail light with a trailer which I had fixed . Currently there is a very light crease in silver part of the right front fender as shown from a tree branch that fell while I was driving about 15 years ago . a small ding under the rear window & a small dent low in the tail gate .     When the truck gets repainted you will want to install a new windshield . Its been lightly fogged around the edges since it was about 2 years old. The motor . trans & 4X4 components all run / work as they should . The only issue I have drive train wise is a vibration when you get over 55-60 MPH . It feels like a tire out of balance. I've changed the tires so I'm not sure where its coming from . Under 55 MPH there's no issue . 2 things I know need to be fixed are the drivers door lock solenoid does not work & the AC needs to be charged . Overall its in pretty good shape for being  27 years old. It does need to be repainted & needs other work as described . but is well worth restoring.    All parts except the seat cover included with the truck are NOS & now discontinued.   Again the extra parts includes are : L&R NOS doors NOS hood emblem 2 NOS rocker panels . New aftermarket seat cover Used Original Spare tire rack  I have $2000. 00 tied up in the extra parts alone .    There are a few other NOS parts that will be for sale after the truck is sold but I wanted to be sure that the parts that I knew the truck absolutely had to have put on it were included with it . Buyer will have first chance at whats left .     Im looking for a diehard truck guy who has the resources to bring it back to its original glory & will take care of it like or better than I did. Im just unsure of when I'll ever find the time to get it restored so I figured I would start looking for her 3rd owner .  I am not interested in selling just the truck or just the parts & Im not really shopping for offers .     For an additional $100. 00 I have the aluminum cap to go with it thats been on it almost the entire time Ive owned it . It mounts on the tiedown studs so its easily installed . It may be worth buying so the parts are under cover & can be locked when being taken home .   The title must be transfered to the new owners name if the truck is going to be driven home to remove me of any liability in the event of an accident.    For an appointment to see the truck . please contact me .
