This is a 1954 Jaguar XK 120 Roadster for sale. The owner is an acquaintance of mine.

The car was 100% restored. Every nut and bolt was taken off and polished.

The only thing remaining is some final re-assembly.   Due to recent health problems my friend cannot finish the car.

He is not good with computers.   I am good with computers so he asked me to put this up for him.

I am not a Jaguar expert. but I've done my best and taken lots of pictures.

Here is what he told me about the car.

1954 Jaguar XK 120

About the car: I bought the car more than 20 years ago.   I purchased it from a man who owned a lumber company in Arkansas.

He was the original owner so it makes me the second owner.

I drove the car mostly on weekends until I began the restoration.   I now live in Maine.

I lived in Virginia when I bought the car.   I took the car to several shows in the early 90's and it was always a winner.

I began a full frame off restoration seven years ago. but had to stop because of health problems.

If you know what you're doing you could have the car on the road in two weeks. The restoration is complete. It just needs some final re-assembly.

Every single part is here.   I've inventoried and documented every part so you know exactly what you are getting.   NOTE: It does not have the top. but it does have the headliner.

The engine IS original. The car has 61. 00 miles.

The engine itself can be running in about 5 minutes if you want to come and take a look at the car.

I spared no expense in investing in this restoration. I have invested more than $120. 00 in this restoration. Don't worry. I'm not looking to get anywhere near that amount. I will entertain any reasonable offer.

I would just like a fair offer and for the car to go to somebody who will finish the job and enjoy it like I did.

During the restoration we had the engine tested for any leaks in the valves. etc.   We discovered that it still runs perfectly and had no leaks.

If you're interested in this car and want to look at the car in person. I can get the engine running in about five minutes.

I am moving to Florida in the next few weeks and would like to sell the car so I don't have to mess with the hassle of transporting it.

Here is more about the car and the restoration:

The seats were redone by a gentleman who's name I cannot remember. but I chose him
because of his reputation. He is one of themost well-known guys on the East Coast for this type of work. The seats by themselves were a $3. 00 investment.

The door panels were redone by the same guy.
This car was originally the green on green color combination.

The car was taken down to it's frame. sandblasted and given fresh paint about two years ago.

Here's a close up of the paint.

The wood components were completed by a guy in New York City. I apologize. but I
cannot remember his name off the top of my head.   I know he also has the top reputation for doing this type of work. I have all the records and can dig them up if you need them.

I have the the owners manual. previous owner's title. and additional paperwork.

On May-07-13 at 07:41:16 PDT. seller added the following information:

I've gotten a few questions about this car -

mostly about the top and the engine.

Here are the responses I sent out to the

people who asked. I'll get more complete

answers when I talk to the owner - but
for now I did the best I could. If anybody
can give any meaningful input. feel free to message me through
Ebay.

Those are good questions. I'll answer the best

I can for now and get you more details when I
speak with the owner.

For now. this is what I know.

1. See attached photos of the sides so you can see
how things line up

2. The engine was not restored as I understand it.
I believe they did testing to see if there any leaks in the
(valves?) The tests they did were negative. ie - no issues. It runs
perfectly.

3. Yes. it is the original matching numbers
engine. I looked through the photos and cannot find the engine tag. br> but I believe the video shows the tag?

4. Good question about the top. Another guy asked
me the same question yesterday. I admit I don't know what
the frame would look like. He said he has the lead beading
(sp?) for the top.

I've attached photos of some additional parts
that could serve as the top? I'll have to send them
separately - ebay only allows 5 pics at a time.

Thanks!

MORE

Ok I don't see anything that resembles
the frame for the top.

I'll have to double check about that - it could
be there. but was not photographed. Not sure.

It looks like the original beading is there that
goes around the rear window.
See attached.

(Sorry I can't give you better answers just yet. )
