Hudson merged with Nash-Kelvinator Corporation to form American Motors. The Hudson name was continued through the 1957 model year. after which it was dropped.

In 1951. Hudson's largest. greatest selling point was that Hudson's all over the country were winning all of the important races. Hudson's new “step-down” floorboard was one of the newest innovations in the automotive world. The lower center of gravity. when combined with the huge torque of the Inline 6 cylinder engine. made the Hudson a force to be reckoned with. The handling of the 1951 Hudson. because of the low center of gravity. was better than virtually any other automobile produced in America.

Finished in a handsome burnt red. the paint is in wonderful condition and hugs the round lines of the Hudson. Much time and effort has been put into maintaining the incredible paint on this car! The black canvas convertible top is in great shape as well. The chrome is in excellent condition and very minor imperfections. This car is bound to turn heads whether it be driving to the diner for brunch of Sunday or sitting pretty in a car show!

Inside. you will see that the burgundy leather interior is in great shape. showing no signs of wear or imperfections. The carpet and door panels are in great shape as well. The dash appears to be original and houses all of the original gauges plus a clock.
