1970 Daimler DS420 7 passenger limousine - £7. 95.
    This is an immaculate example of one of the earlier. better built. Vanden Plas Daimler DS420s built by Vanden Plasat their Kingsbury works in the 1960s. These models differ from their Coventry built successors in that the bodies weremanufactured using thicker metal and they also had rear quarter wind up windows.      We have been using this car for weddings for the last 7 years and we had the rear professionally re-trimmed in ivory leatherto match our other vintage and classic cars. This came to about £2. 00 including the carpets.     Mechanically. the car has never let us down. the engine doesn't smoke at all and the choke works fine. The gearbox changes up anddown fine and the tyres are all very good having been replaced a little while ago. We sprayed the bottom half last season mainly toremove a few battle scars and a minor rust bubble on the front wheelarch. The underside of the car is sound. we have never had any troubleMOT'ing the car and it will be sold with a year's MOT. Ready to go straight out on weddings for 2014.    The only reason we are selling this car is we are reducing the number of cars we have in order that we can keep all our wedding cars inone garage. To that end we are also about to put up for sale one of our 1930s Rolls-Royce Phantom IIIs for immediate release and a Bramwith landaulette for release at the end of the 2014 season.     Any queries on the car. please email through ebay.
