1963 Jaguar XKE

When it came onto the scene in the early 1960′s. the Jaguar E-Type blew everyone away. The styling. the engineering – everything about the car was worlds ahead of its time – so much so that it's silhouette and power have made the E-Type a revered and timeless vehicle. The 3. 8L engine. bucket seats and covered headlights distinguish this early series 1 E-Type. the rarest and most closely coveted of all the E-types. We recovered this particular example from a barn. where it sat. warm and dry. for over 25 years. The original colors were silver with blue interior with chrome wire wheels. After examining the car and performing some carburetor and electrical work. we managed to turn this barn-find into a running project car – ready to go for the next Jaguar enthusiast with an itch to restore. Though its a non-matching numbers car. it is a running project car. that has minimal rust damage. as a result of its storage in a warm. dry place.
