1987 BMY M923A2 MILITARY TURBO 5-TON 6X6 CARGO TRUCK REBUILT AUTO P-STEERING

You are viewing my 1987 M923A2 5-ton cargo truck. I have been driving this one personally for several months. With an Allison 5-speed automatic transmission and full power steering it is very easy and enjoyable to drive. You can comfortably cruise at 60mph on the highway with room to spare while still getting 10mpg. This truck was rebuilt in 2009 at Kansas Readiness Depot. Kansas does the best job rebuilding these trucks. This truck got a brand new Cummins 6CTA 8. 3 turbo motor at rebuild. The date of manufacture is 8/08 you can see the engine tag in one of the pics. The tires were also replaced upon rebuild and they still have 85 percent tread. they will last for years to come. It also recieved Hawker AGM batteries which will also last for many years unlike the regular lead acid batteries. Everything else was either refurbished or replaced. I installed a keyed ignition in it along with led reverse lights that are activated by the correct switch that I installed in the transmission so when you put the shifter in reverse the lights automatically come on just like a regular vehicle. I also installed military led front and rear blinkers. They are much brighter that the stock bulbs and are clearly daylight visible. I replaced the original blinker control with one that will self-cancel when you turn the steering wheel like a regular vehicle. No driving down the street with your blinker on because you always forget to manually cancel it. It has anti-lock brakes and a cold start kit with bottle installed. I have started this truck in single digit weather and it fired right up. This truck is registered and insured to me. the new owner will get all the required paperwork to register it in their home state.
