I AM RELISTING MY 1970 lotus europa S2 project:

since my original listing i have purchased new brake lines. new cooling lines. a service manual and a new master cylinder.

i installed a new battery. rebuilt the carburetor. replaced the fuel line and started the engine. it runs great !

you are looking at a complete 1970 europa with a very large supply of 1969 europa parts.

i purchased the car on 5/28/2013 from a man in southern california.

apparently he had a 1969 lotus europa that he wrecked and then he purchased this car in 1982 and installed the engine from the '69 europa.

he told me that the engine (renault R-16) was rebuilt and has 9000 miles on it.

the amazing part is that he owned the car for over 30 years and from what he told me and what his neighbor confirmed. the car sat in his garage for the entire time !!!

he purchased the car. changed the engine and started restoring the body for paint and then it just sat in his garage.

i intended on restoring the car for historic racing but i have become involved in a large project that requires all of my resources and garage space so it must go.

the car needs a restoration. but it is complete and comes with all the parts he took off the wrecked '69.

this car does not have any rust that i could find.

body is in good shape (the guy filled the bumper holes and the door handles) i have the original

all the glass is good

great seats

the original master cylinder is faulty. i purchased a replacement that is not installed yet.

the extra parts list is extensive:

2 complete engines 2 complete transmissionsextra electronics. gauges. lightscomplete front and rear suspensionfront and rear brakescooling systemsome interior pieces from the '69trunk boxcomplete passenger side doorfront air dambumpersgas tank and sending unit. tarter. alternators. distributors. carburetor. eater unit. nbsp;hub capsmisc nuts and bolts

shipping the car: the car rolls easily and i am willing to box up the parts fof shipping rust: this car looks to be rust free. i say this because i can not find any rust on the frame or any other parts other than slight surface rust.

I WAS ASKED ABOUT THE OWNERSHIP HISTORY: i believe i know all of the ownership history with the exception of the name of the original owner. anyway. here is what i know. owner one lived in illinois. purchased the car in late 1971 owned the car until 1978 when he sold it to a man also in illinios who owned the car until 1981. he apparently painted the car silver with a blue stripe and ultimately sold it to a guy who lived in tustin california. i spoke to him and he says he owned the car for about a year and then he sold it to the guy from orange california in 1982. i bought it from the 4th owner. that makes me the fifth owner.

On Dec-05-13 at 12:43:08 PST. seller added the following information:

a few people have asked about the other engines + transmissions. both the extra engines are renault units. one appears to be just a taken apart engine while the other unit looks like it was hot tanked. i am not sure if all the parts are present. i believe the original engine block for the car that was removed is the uncleaned unit. the transmissions are all intact and appear to be operational. i believe the original transmission for the car is the more "greasy" transmission and has all its mounts. cables attached. looks like the guy just took out the original engine and transmission and tore down the engine and did nothing with the transmission.

On Dec-19-13 at 14:55:53 PST. seller added the following information:

i just had a person ask about the title of the car. when i went and looked at the documents for the car. i could not find the title. i do have the bill of sale and a total history of the past owners. depending on the potential new owners state. i could sign a title transfer affidavit or any other documents required to help the title transfer process. the car is clear of any liens and is 100% owned by myself. i can also help facilitate shipping arrangements by boxing up all of the parts and preparing the car.

On Dec-20-13 at 07:49:45 PST. seller added the following information:

if the car does not sell. i will be doing some work on it to get it running and drivable. here is what i estimate to make it drivable (based on ebay parts i have located): silicon coolant hoses $150. aerocatch hood pins (4ea) $140. brake master cylinder $50. 00. carburetor rebuild kit $55. 00. oil + filter $45. 00. fuel pump $40. 00. battery $100. tires $500. polish wheels $350. prime car $150 . brake lines $100. misc $150. 00 so for $1830 and a couple weekends. i believe i could have this car drivable.
