She is bathed in 1930s patina. Her leather seats are 77 years old. and like the skin of a person who has reached this great age. its rather dry and creased. But I could never replace this in my ownership!!!! It's part of her life story. factory fitted in 1937. And what a story I would imagine this MG could tell!!!!
Her paintwork is true 1930s style and chic. Two tone green coach work with swooping running boards and wire wheels. Far from perfect in fact but no rust. Her worst part is her rear end. no not sagging and enormous. but scarred from when I parked her up in my cart lodge garage after enjoying a winters drive in 2012. That night got so bloody cold. down to minus15. that it cracked the paint on her rear and lifted some sections taking it back to the metal. That's why I have flowers and butterflies on her back. to protect the metal and to cover my guilt of leaving her uncovered for that night!!!
She starts. she runs. she stops. Her 4 speed gearbox is all good. Her engine has good oil pressure and ticks like a well oiled timepiece. Her beautiful brass dials are a joy to behold and are lit up by a stunning orange hue. My VA comes with a modern V5 in my name showing 3 former keepers. the old buff style log book showing 4 keepers. a few old mots going back to 1979 with the last one being in August 2012 which it passed with no advisories. With the crazy new law. it doesn't need an mot and has obviously free tax. It has an instruction manual for the one-and-a-half MG VA cars.
This beautifully styled car is available to view and is on a 10 day auction to provide you with the time to do so. She must go to a good home!!!!!She still has the looks of Vivien Leigh and Eva Gardner. but just may need a bit of a nip and a tuck if you wanted!!!! Certainly address the paintwork but please don't tell me if you are changing the seats!!!
Original number plate from new in 1937. DO NOT PLEASE SPLIT THE CAR FROM THE NUMBER PLATE. OR YOU SHOULD BE DAMNED FOREVER!!!!! Drop me an email with any questions. if you wish to view then tea I will brew.
