Please do not bid yet. need to add all my description in the morning. nbsp;you can check out all the pictures below. And no I am not looking for $20K for the Hupmobile. just started it high so I could add description. I will then lower the starting bid to $19. 28 NO RESERVE. Thanks. Jason 503-910-2085 Thank You for viewing my 1928 Hupmobile 2dr Sedan Series/Model A. Century 6. This car has been in long time storage. nbsp; was restored in the early 80's. and the body is really amazing on the car. This Hupmobile is a great car for someone who wants something a little different then everyone else. nbsp;plus it is a nice size. not to big and not to small. if you ever sat behind the wheel of a Ford Model A. they are tight. unless you are a little guy. The body and structure of the car in awesome shape. I do not believe the actual body was taken off of the car when it was repainted. It has all of its original wood. nbsp;I have seen inside the door panels. nbsp;and the wood is very nice. the original wood floors are in excellent shape. The reason I do not think the body was taken off. is because it still has its original fabric and lining between the frame and the body. I show pictures of it underneath. it is truly an amazing find. The body on this car is in excellent shape. there is no rust. there are no rust bubbles on the body. The car is very straight. you look down the side of the body. and it is laser straight. I took one of those small car show magnets. nbsp;and it stuck everywhere on the car no problem. I truly do not think this car has any body filler on it. if it does very minimal. I do not see any signs of it on the car though. The fenders are original steel. and the look really nice. no repairs on the inside no old repairs. the drivers side fender has a little dent on the edge. and the passenger rear fender has a light indention on the edge of it. you can see them in the pictures. This car was in storage a long time. Around 2004. nbsp;some folks were getting ready to put it back on the road. and had some of it rewired. but it still needs a little bit to go. Everything is hooked up. and I can run a jumper to the lights. and they turn on. the horn. rear light. The dials inside the steering wheel. there are 4 of them. nbsp;are broken off. nbsp;because the got fragile. I had to disconnect the lights and horn. because all of the sudden the contact would connect inside steering wheel. nbsp;and turn the lights and horn on. So. currently this is a car you can drive around the neighborhood. I had it out for a couple 4-5 mile cruising out in the country. but it needs the someone to tinker with the electrical. so you have brake lights. lights in general. gauges. etc. Overall a great car. if you want something that is structurally in great shape. and you don't mind tinkering a little. that is the easy part. The body on this Hupmobile as I mentioned earlier is in excellent shape. I will walk you through the pictures in the auction so you can see everything in general. instead of explain them here in a big paragraph. The interior is in nice usable shape. no rips in the front seats. the carpet is in decent shape. The rear seat is in nice shape. but does have some staining. and below the rear window the headliner is damaged a little from moisture. Overall the interior is very usable. the windows roll up and down nicely. The door handles inside are missing. and you can not open the car up from the inside. I do have one handle. but it will not open the door. you have to roll the window down. or if it is down already reach out and open the door. not to big of deal. These cars take a special inside door handle. so they will have to be sourced to get the correct ones. The front window tips out at the bottom and the cowl vent opens as well. The only gauge working on the instrument panel. is the Oil pressure gauge. which reads really good actually. The rest of the gauges. are hooked up. but not sure what is going on with them. I personally don't know much about wiring. so I just left them alone. I am happy with it starting up. and being able to drive it around and getting it to stop. The biggest issue inside. is the horn button. the electric controls inside. the 3 arms or switched. broke off. and they need to have a new unit replaced up in the steering wheel. nbsp;the part the horn button connects to. I am not 100% for sure that they got all the wiring hooked up exactly correct. there are around 14 new wires that are in a harness. and I am not sure exactly how to check everything. It does have an electric fuel pump. which works good. you turn the key on and it starts up. The windshield wipers are not working at this time as well. So overall. a nice interior for its age. that needs a little bit to make it show again. but for now. it looks and feels great for a driver. Mechanically it seems to be in good shape. It has a Zenith/Bendix updraft carb on it. nbsp;and it seems to do pretty well. when it has been sitting. it takes a little bit to start it. probably needs a little adjustment. The carburetor seems to be clean and in good shape. and looks to be rebuilt but might need some fine tuning. After you get it started it will start over and over. no problem. will sit and idle all day long. The engine looks to be original. nbsp; engine ID number is very close the Car number. The car is titled off of the engine number. so the Title matches the Vin on the engine. The head has some welds on the top of it. that are old. must have had some hairline cracks in it. and they had it welded up. They look solid. and are not leaking. not sure how long they have been there. just noticed about 2 half moon welds. The engine blocks looks great. no cracks. or repairs it looks in good shape. It does run very good. it does not get hot. the radiator does not leak. I have not had any problems with overheating.
