1947 FORD E83W GREEN for sale

This is a 1947 Fordson E83W van which is in very good condition and could be shown as is and has been in the past.

I purchased this to go along with my other show truck which I am also selling a Bedford RL flat drop side truck( as shown in picture). I have decided that there is not enough time for me to show the vehicles and to travel so something has to give and unfortunately it has to be the truck and van.

The fordson is in very good condition and everything works as it should. it drives the brakes work everything is good.

It comes with a lot of History from when it was used in Scotland by a Bacon curing company and was in a local museum up there for a number of years. there are original letters to the same effect to proove its provenance.

It has its original buff coloured log book and several old style tax discs. a valuation certificate for some £6. 00 and certificate for road run it was used for.

It has a workshop manual and a parts list book which will all be with the van assuming it sells for a reasonable price.

The vehicle is now MOT exempt and was last MOT'd in 2012 the VOSA MOT site will confirm than the van has only done some 500 miles in the past 8 years.

The van has a current tax disc in display which allows use on public roads. although there is no recurring charge applied as it is an Historic vehicle.

The van could be used for promoting a business or used as a show vehicle . t was our intension to have it as a Castrol van and we got in touch with Castrol and they said that their logo is no longer protected and sent us copies of photographs from the era of the actual logo's used all of which we would pass on to an interested party.

We would love for the van to go to someone who would truely like it and keep it in its original status as a van not to be converted to a hot rod as some many old vans have been. we are slowly loosing all our heritage vehicles. Lots of spares available.
