ABSOLUTELY STUNNING AND ORIGINAL

1987 Metallic Moorland Green Daimler 3. 6 XJ40 automatic with light tan leather interior.   

This car was top of the range in its day with specification and trim to the highest level possible. Includes original tool kit and shag pile mats.  

Genuine 33. 00 miles 

MOT until April 2014. but if the ‘BUY IT NOW' price is used then I will MOT for the new buyer. that's how competent I am there is absolutely nothing wrong with the car.

TAX until 30/09/14 

5 owners from new not including me. the last 3 were Jaguar/Daimler enthusiasts.

Full service history from new with large history file in original wallet with all the correct documentation and original key but copy spares.  

Although it is fitted with Jaguar lattice wheels with Pirelli P5's fitted including 2  spares I also have the original metric wheels (5) with unusable tyres.

Computer. electric windows. sunroof and seats (heated). Central locking immaculate interior.  

Engine and gearbox are as smooth as a new car (should be with only 33. 00 miles)

It has had a stainless steel exhaust fitted from its early days. will last a life time.  

I have had the car for two and half years and show the car regularly. in that time.

I have had the lattice wheels restored. the air conditioning unit replaced. a new battery fitted. new head light washer covers. new windscreen wiper and a new ariel rubber grommet (all Daimler original parts) the car has wanted for nothing.  

A couple of things you should be aware of. the roof lining is sagging a little due to age and has been discretely pinned in place. and the fuel pump valve sticks occasionally (this is being addressed). the passenger door lock does not work the central locking but does open the door and locks all the doors and the rear offside door sticks when open from the outside only. (probably through lack of use) otherwise this car is probably the best looking most original Daimler xj40 you will ever come across. never having ever had any body work or paint work since new.

THIS CAR IS AN ABSOLUTE DREAM TO DRIVE AND YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER EXAMPLE. IT IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL.

I HAVE TRIED TO BE AS HONEST AS POSSIBLE REGARDING THIS CAR AND IT IS A VERY RELUCTANT SAL AS I AM ONLY SELLING IT DUE TO MY ARTHRITIS CAUSING ME TO STRUGGLE TO GET IN AND OUT OF IT.
