1961 Oldsmobile Super 88 Holiday Bubbletop Coupe for sale

This is a 1961 Oldsmobile Super 88 Holiday Coupe. commonly referred to as a "bubbletop" because of the unique graceful styling of the roof and rear glass that compose this pillarless 2-door hardtop model. 1961 is the only year Pontiac. Oldsmobile. and Buick offerred a version of this classic Fisher Body style that is prized among all Chevrolet. Pontiac. Oldsmobile and Buick collectors. Only Chevrolet carried it through model year 1962.

This car has the nicest bubbletop body I have ever seen. The pristine original floors and trunk pan still show some factory primer underneath the car. Beautiful deep black PPG base/clear paint was applied to this lazer straight rust free body. The exterior chrome is outstanding. The original burgandy/red interior is accented with excellent chrome details and a white headliner.

The Super 88 is powered by the Skyrocket 394 engine which was fitted to the larger 98 series Oldsmobiles. This 4 barrel carbureted and higher compression version of the Olds Rocket V-8 offerred a greater feel of power and torque for the lighter 88 series body.

Recent maintenance upgrades to this car include new tires. wheels. brake booster. master cylinder. brake lines. wheel cylinders. and brake linings. The front suspension was also serviced to include new bushings and sway bar links. Full tune-up also included a new fuel pump and lines. carburetor rebuild. distributor and ignition service. The underhood and trunk compartment detail is beautiful. This Olds was factory equipped with A/C. power steering and brakes and drives beautifully.

This car is advertised for sale locally and I reserve the right to cancel this auction in the event of a local sale. The successful bidder will make a $1. 00 non refundable Pay Pal deposit within 24 hours after the close of the auction and will pay the auction purchase balance in full within 72 hours after the close of the auction. Funds must be remitted in cash. certified check or electronic wire transfer with service charges the responsibility of the buyer. Shipping arrangements and cost are the total responsibility of the buyer. I will gladly assist the buyer with shipping arrangements and loading  the vehicle for transport from Glendale. AZ to the destination of choice.
