MotoeXotica Classic cars now has in our showroom a wonderful 1963 Triumph Spitfire 4. the first mark of these great English sports cars. This Spitfire has been meticulously and extensively restored with more than $8. 00 in repairs and new parts.

With the introduction of the Austin-Healey Sprite. Triumph created the Spitfire to compete in the small sports car market. Triumph's advantage over Austin-Healey was on construction. Using their saloon car model. Triumph intended to cut the chassis down and clothe it in a sports body. This saved the cost of developing a completely new body unit.

This dynamite Spitfire 4 you see before you had an extensive nut-and-bolt restoration. Fresh exhaust and alternator convertor have benefitted this car greatly. Along with new hydraulic cylinders. this wonderful Spitfire 4 runs and drives very well with all these updates. These improvements are the highlight of this lovely ride. Many of the parts come with their instructions as well. New parts include. but are not limited to:
--Front bumper
--Alternator
--Water pump
--Electric fuel pump
--Carburetor and intake
--Driveshaft
--Engine mounts

The exterior shows a show-quality vibrant Signal Red with no signs of imperfection. This exterior will give off a nice shine in the afternoon sun on a weekend cruise. This car is worthy of a Best in Show trophy whether locally or nationally.

The interior has been redone. and the vinyl bucket seats with the Signal Red pinstripes complement the fresh carpeting. The upholstery job shows well as the vinyl seats and carpeting still look brand new. The only blemish on this car to note is that the fuel gauge is inoperable.

The engine is an inline four-cylinder with an overhead valve cylinder head mated to a four-speed manual transmission. A Weber carburetor and Crane Fireball ignition have been added to give some kick to this roadster.

Overall. this 1963 Triumph Spitfire 4 would make an excellent addition for that collector who's looking to add some British heat to their collection. VIN is FC1299. and mileage reads 3 since restoration on a clean California title. Driving this car would be like it rolled off the factory floor in Coventry. England but with some great additions. GET OUT AND DRIVE!
