Take a look at this BEAUTIFUL - RARE - 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner Retractable Two Door Hardtop Convertible and as you can imagine they are  getting EXTREMELY hard to find. especially in this kind of condition !!  We just purchased this BEAUTY from the elderly retired owner and as you can clearly  see in the pictures this was his pride and joy for sure !! The 1957 Ford  Fairlane 500 Skyliner was a VERY stunning body style in 1957 with its power retractable - "Hide-Away" - hardtop and still is some 57 years later !! There were only 20. 66 Fairlane 500's built with the Skyliner Retractable Hardtop Package in 1957 so as you can imagine they don't come up for sale very often anymore !! Ford only built Retractable hardtop models for 3 years. and this is the FIRST and MOST DESIRABLE year and body style !!  What a value it is at the reserve price which is set very low !  This car is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Washington State - Idaho high mountain desert - western vehicle and boy does it show !! In my opinion you're not going to find much nicer ORIGINAL floors than the ones that are on this BEAUTY !! I drove this car for several days as my everday driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and it ran and drove GREAT !! The ORIGINAL FORD FACTORY DATA PLATE is intact and mounted in place on the driver's side door pillar and shown in a picture below. If you can make it to Boise in the next ten days please come take a look at and drive this car for yourself !! THIS IS A QAULITY CAR !!

This BEAUTY has what appears to be the ORIGINAL - OPTIONAL - STRONG -  Code "D"- 312 CID V8 motor in it and running very well.  The motor also still retains the ORIGINAL 4 barrel intake manifold. ORIGINAL Exhaust manifolds. ORIGINAL "Thunderbird Special" scripted valve covers and the ORIGINAL Air Cleaner housing. The engine is backed by a - SMOOTH - three speed transmission with factory Overdrive which also functions well. Sounds GREAT too with the "Throaty" true-dual exhaust system with dual chrome tips. The BEAUTIFUL - Two Tone Flame Red and Colonial White vinyl interior is in VERY NICE condition with a VERY NICE Flame Red and Colonial White vinyl front bench seat. VERY NICE Flame Red and Colonial White vinyl rear bench seat. VERY NICE ORIGINAL color-matched Fairlane steering wheel. nbsp;VERY NICE Matching Flame Red and Colonial White vinyl  door panels. VERY NICE Dark Red carpeting. VERY NICE factory gauge clusters. nbsp;VERY NICE Colonial White vinyl sunvisors. nbsp;VERY NICE Colonial White vinyl headliner and a VERY NICE color-matched Flame Red and Colonial White dash. The Two Tone - Code "VE" - Flame Red and Colonial White exterior paint is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL with very little to no wear showing other than a few very small chips and is still bright and shiny and looks STUNNING as you can clearly see in the video above and pictures below.  Code "VE" two tone Flame Red And Colonial White is the factory original color combination as you can see in the picture of the factory data plate.  The Flame Red and Colonial White vinyl interior and the matching  Flame Red and Colonial White exterior finish is a BEAUTIFUL color combination indeed !! How could you get any better ?!! This RARE AND VERY UNIQUE Classic Car is a great runner and a real nice looker. This car is nicely equipped including WORKING AIR CONDITIONING that has just been professionally retrofitted to R134A and serviced inlcuding a NEW compressor. WORKING Full Power "Hide-Away"  Retractable Hardtop. factory power steering. nbsp;eletric power wipers. Awesome aftermarket AM FM stereo radio / cassette tape player. original clock which is no longer working. nbsp;good heater and defroster. factory front wing windows. RARE working FROM THE FACTORY dual chrome spotlights / side view mirrors. nbsp; factory guage clusters with a 120 MPH speedometer which is no longer working. front and rear seat belts and factory fender skirts. This Vintage Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner has great looks and SMOOTH power ! There are not many of these left on the roads for sure !

These vehicles have an appreciative group of owners any of which would be pleased to own this one. The suspension and drive line seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system.  Check out the FACTORY ORIGINAL Ford Stainless Steel wheel covers and the nearly new whitewall steel belted radial tires. boy does this combination look OUTSTANDING and really retains that clean "Factory Original" look !! The CLEAN - SOLID - rear trunk compartment sports VERY NICE Dark Red carpeting and the ORIGINAL TRUNK BARRELL. All of the ORIGINAL light lenses are clear. bright. UNCRACKED. and BEAUTIFUL !! The ORIGINAL windshield does have some chipping.  This vintage cruiser is a good investment opportunity and it is priced right ! It is in good condition from top to bottom and from front to back. It will not disappoint someone looking for a good example of a sought after and hard to find collector car which is not seen at every stop light for sure. If you have been looking but cannot find a Classic Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner worthy of your hard earned money look NO further because this is the one ! The  ORIGINAL chrome  and stainless steel exterior body trim on this Fairlane is  NICE for being  original. nbsp;including NICE ORIGINAL front and rear chrome bumpers and front chrome bumper gaurds. VERY NICE ORIGINAL stainless steel grill and NICE ORIGINAL Badging !! All of the rubber weatherstripping is soft. supple and in good condition. This vehicle is in nice mechanical condition and it runs and drives VERY WELL !!  It is solid with respect to the overall mechanical condition as well as the overall cosmetic impression. I looked underneath and also included photos below.
