Dear collectors. if you are on the market for an unrestored jeep that is in excellent condition in original paint. original panels. original engine and rust free. you have found it.  Reluctantly I'm selling two of my favorite jeeps to finance another venture.  This auction is for my 45 GPW.  I bought this jeep from the son of the original owner who is 100 % sure that the jeep has never been restored and is all original.  The jeep spent all it's life in California until I purchased it.  Due to the fact that sale is final and deposit is nun refundable. the winning bidder will have an opportunity to talk to the previous owner to confirm my description of the jeep before paying for it or they can come and inspect it before bidding to make their own evaluation.  They will have an opportunity to hear it from the horse's mouth sort of speak.  The original front seat covers are in bad shape but add to the beauty of the jeep.  Some modifications were done to the jeep due to previous owners dad being 6'5" or something like that.  The first aid bracket was modified and mounted to the outside of the dash to hold his cigarette by using the existing holes.  Electric wipers were added (I removed them but they go with the jeep).  Locking hubs were installed on the front (originals were saved and come with the jeep).  Rear brackets that hold the back seat in the open position were removed to make it easier on the grand kids many years ago.  When I asked the previous owner what was not original on the jeep. he remembered that his dad went to the store one day and when he came out all three shift knobs were stolen off the vehicle. that same day he went to the store and bought a keyed ignition and installed it on the jeep.  I even have the receipt and box that the keyed ignition came in.  Being a GPW it is all matching numbers. frame. engine and body.  There is a crate story behind the jeep which I'll let the previous owner tell the winner.  I have confirmed the hood number through Tom who is an expert in GPW.  According to Tom's records. the body number that I uncovered falls within the correct range for the vin.  I bought the jeep without seeing it and upon receiving the vehicle I noticed that there's a cosmoline like material all over the engine bay.  I was told by some collectors that jeeps that were crated were sprayed with that substance.  One of the pictures shows the previous owner loading the jeep on the transporter.  Other than that I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.  You may never see another jeep like this in your life time.

All the pictures in which the jeep has the tow bar are the pictures I got from the previous owner.  The tow bar was removed.  Everything that is bolted on the jeep is included with the exception of the riffle carrier mounted to the windshield.  That riffle carrier came off the first jeep I ever bought and I've had it signed by some of the WWII vets that I've had the pleasure to meet so I intend to keep it.  As for the paint it does have some scratches but still looks great.  The previous owner has some stories associated to some of the dents and blemishes you see on the jeep.  The biggest dent on the jeep is the one on the passenger side by the corner grab handle.
