In the hands of its current owner since 1987, this sweet Camaro resto-mod is an invigorating Chevrolet icon that's benefitted from acute restoration. In fact, the car was purchased as its current owner's first set of wheels and methodically rebuilt into a traditional-style street brawler that places performance and reliability above all else. And while sentimentality has always been a major factor in this coupe's 35-year progression, its owner, a modern COPO racer, is simply ready to pass his beloved Chevy to someone who has more time to enjoy it. Era-correct Marina Blue two-stage keeps the car's sculpted body as timeless as ever, and Ermine White Rally Stripes seem a perfectly natural addition to that lasting aura. Professionally assembled by the pros at Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, this Camaro's 383 cubic inch small block spins a wicked 517 horses into 500 lb./ft. of pavement-bruising torque! Behind that mill, a tough RAM clutch kicks a proven Auto Gear 4-speed. That transmission twists a traditional GM 12-bolt that's built with Richmond 3.55 gears and an Auburn limited-slip differential. That axle rides a factory-style suspension that's been upgraded with adjustable QA-1 shocks, Competition Engineering traction bars and Competition Engineering subframe connectors. Lares quick-ratio power steering works well with Eibach coils and a heavy duty sway bar. Power-assisted discs provide short stops. And at the corners, original steel wheels spin original hubcaps inside staggered Firestone redlines. Between the doors, firm bucket seats stretch correct Blue vinyl over original frames. A striking dash hangs factory telemetry beneath a fresh D&R Classic pad. An original console props requisite 4-pack accessory gauges in front of a familiar Hurst shifter.
