1955 Chevrolet Belair Nomad Restomod Art Morrison LS3 525HP BEST of BEST

CMC is proud to bring you one of the nicest 1955 Chevrolet Nomad Restomods built to date. Powered by a new GM Performance LS-3 6.2 L. 525 HP engine, and riding on the top of the line Art Morrison Chassis, this 1955 had no expenses spared in building the best of the best.

With the positive reception given to the Chevrolet Corvette Nomad on the Motorama circuit, GM gave the green light to put a two-door sport wagon into production, but using the full-size platform to save costs and appeal to a broader market. The Chevrolet Nomad was introduced in 1955 and offered customers a unique interpretation of the station wagon, appealing to both young adventurers and businesses alike. It was a customizer's darling, the unique and rare body style inspiring them to add their own flavor to the recipe.

Highlights of this Restomod include:

LS3 6.2L/525 HP GM Performance crate engine

Custom four-year build completed in 2018

This 1955 Nomad is inspiring in its own right. Completed in 2018 after a four-year build, it is finished in House of Kolor Tangelo Pearl with a white top. Power comes courtesy of a 6.2L/525 HP GM Performance LS3 crate engine and a GM Performance Supermatic 4-speed automatic transmission. The scene under the hood is remarkable with finished, smoothed surfaces, billet hinges and various chrome and polished aluminum components, including a Concept One Victory Series Pulley System, functionally decorating the engine. Built with an Art Morrison chassis and Art Morrison 9-inch rear end, this Nomad features a Wilwood Superlite 13-inch big brake kit that helps efficiently scrub down speed. A Keyless Go ignition system brings the Nomad further into the 21st century.

The interior-completed by Gillin Custom Interior-features a host of subtle and not-so-subtle details such as recessed lighting, a Billet Specialties steering wheel, Flaming River polished steering column, Dakota VHX Classic digital gauges, Vintage Air and a Rockford Fosgate custom sound system with hidden receiver and subwoofers, all wired to Bluetooth. Bucket seats straddle a custom center console, and the entire interior is presented in tan, the luxurious carpeting featuring matched-color piping, satin and polished aluminum elements lending a little bling and a serious note of attention to detail. Rolling on staggered 18- and 20-inch Foose custom wheels with Nitto Invo tires, the entire Nomad is rife with details including color-changing LED headlights and a Jim Cook Racing polished exhaust system.
