FOR EVERYONE THAT WANTS TO KNOW IF THERE IS A BUY IT NOW PRICE……….I FEEL THE CAR IS WORTH QUITE A BIT OF MONEY, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU FIGURE IN THE STUPID PRICES PEOPLE ARE ASKING FOR CARS THAT LOOK LIKE THEY WERE LITERALLY JUST PULLED OUT OF A DITCH….THAT BEING SAID I AM RUNNING THIS AT $1 WITH NO RESERVE SO YOU THE BUYERS CAN SET THE SELL PRICE.  I PERSONALLY LOVE THIS CAR AND FEEL IT IS A BARGAIN AT ANY PRICE….THAT BEING SAID I AM A DRAG RACER AND I LOVE OLD RACE CARS, BUT I UNDERSTAND THEY ARE NOT FOR EVERYONE…SO BID ACCORDINGLY!!

I AM ONLY LISTING THIS ONCE, SO IF YOU ARE A SERIOUS BUYER, GET YOUR FINANCES IN ORDER AND BID WHAT YOU FEEL THE CAR IS WORTH TO YOU

This car has lots of local drag race history as it has been a race car since the 70's….I personally planned to always leave it a race car, and just use it……That being said it is a very solid car, and could be turned into a Pro-Streeter fairly easily, or back to stock if you want….Taking it back to stock would be more work and more expense, but in my opinion this car is well worth it!

The previous owner is a good friend, and he is a hardcore Mopar guy, who cared about this car, and owned and raced it for close to 40 years. Yes it is a race car, but the roll cage was built so that it didn't go through the stock dash, which is still completely intact…..No bars go through the firewall, and the stock VIN TAG and FENDER TAG are right where they belong.  The clean and clear Illinois title is in my name, and I have a picture of the previous title (in his name from the early 80's)…Both of them match the factory VIN TAG. I will gladly share the picture of the title / etc. with the new owner

This car is all steel, except for the hood scoop.  Also the fender mounted turn signals have been removed and the DANA 60 isn't factory..  Beyond that the car matches what the fender tag calls for other than the original Deep Burnt Orange Metallic paint has been changed to Red. I have included a picture of car that is similar to what this car would have looked like from the factory.  The cool part about this car, is that it was just a lowly Barracuda Plain Jane flat hood car…BUT it was fitted with the Hi-Perf. 383-4V, so whoever ordered it was looking for performance on the cheap!!! This is also what makes it such a low production number car.  Have Galen decode it, and I would assume once the options are included, the production numbers on this car would be VERY LOW

1970 PLYMOUTH BARRACUDA……Original 383-4V “Barracuda” (not a ‘cuda), one of like 464 like it(not including all options), so fairly low production number car……Not sure if that makes any difference now, but I just found this out when I was researchingthe car, and thought I would share it…….All Steel (except for the hood scoop)….Been a race car since the 70's….Always loved, so not butchered or cutup more than it needed to be to make it a competitive race car…..Can be turned back into a street car, still has factory glass all around / factory dash /roll up windows / clear title / factory VIN tag still where it belongs on the dash / fender tag still where it belongs. Car has a long race history here in the Mid-West, and currently is running high 10's to low 11's with a 452 (not original block for this car) / 727 / DANA 60…..Engine was professionally built and has high compression pistons / steel crank / Mopar block / solid roller camshaft / roller rockers / Edelbrock aluminum heads.  I have some machine shop info on the motor, and it will go with the car.  Still a leaf spring car, still uses the factory fuel tank.  No cage bars through the dash or firewall.  Lots of drag strip time tickets and history….Absolutely love this car, have for decades.  Owned / built / loved by a friend who is als oa die-hard Mopar guy, and professional mechanic.  Competitive foot brake car for years and years.  Has tubs and no back seat…front seats are race buckets…Otherwise factory interior is intact.  Has a control panel added in front of factory dash, so that the dash didn't have to be cut up…Would be some work, but car could be turned back into a full street car….I plan to race it, so I don't care, just glad that it was loved enough that it wasn't cut up.  Fairly easy conversion if you just want a really cool Pro Street car!

Underside of the car is very solid as it has been a race car for a loooong time!!

Nice solid car…Not perfect by any means, and although I think it looks decent, please remember the paint is from the 80's, so it is old and isn't perfect...There are chips and peeling, and the hood doesn't match very well with the rest of the car, as it was repainted when the current hood scoop was added, and the color match is a ways off
