This car is a restored example and rare 1968 Ford Mustang GT 390 Fastback Original Bullitt Car that shows 40,735 Miles on the odometer. 

The car is an original 390 Fastback with a complete Marti Report to accompany it.  Its a Metuchen plant manufactured car with a 4spd manual transmission and 3.25 Limited Slip Rear axle and Black Vinyl Bucket Seats.

The car came equipped with Console, AM 8 Track Radio, Tinted Glass, and Deluxe Seat Belts.  Car was produced on February 23rd, 1968.

The 390 V8 Produces 320 hp @ 4800 rpm and 427 lb-ft @3200 rpm. 

This 1968 Ford Mustang was restored in the early 2000's and kept in a garage collection.  The paint finish is in great shape along with fit and finish of all of the body panels, bumpers, trim, and glass.  The bright work is in beautiful shape and has been well kept.  It has recently had a full detail completed before going away for winter.  This is a rust free and smoke free example that is ready to be enjoyed for decades to come by its next owner.  The paint is absolutely stunning, this car has straight body lines, no dents or damage to note, and really needs to be seen to be appreciated.  I did my best with the photographs.  

There are some minor paint defects on the front headlight trim and up by the cowl I would call minor.(see photos)  This car was originally Highland Green but when refinished was painted Adriatic Blue with white stripe.  

The car is an absolute stunner and turns heads.  There is no rust whatsoever on this car as it has been living in a garage and only driven in fair weather.  Floors, trunk, etc all solid and rust free.

On the interior this 68" Fastback has seen very little wear.  All of the seating surfaces, carpets, headliner, and metal trim work are in great condition.  There are no stains, rips, or tears to note.  The interior does not have any unusual odors or defects.  All of the gauges and interior lighting function as intended.  

The rear sport deck seating material is very nice, all hinges function and rear seating has seen almost no use.  The trunk is clean and in good shape.  The steering wheel is not the original installed however it does come with the factory steering wheel included along with a period correct style radio that is included new in box with the sale.

This is a mechanically sound 390 Mustang GT Bullitt Fastback.  It fires right up even in cold temperatures, no smoke or strange noises.  The transmission shifts smoothly between gears and shifts as expected.  Clutch catches nice and smooth right in the middle of throw.  This motor is in great shape and shows in how it sounds a drives. 

The power is all there, a smooth and throaty idle with a nice rumble as you leave from a stop through the dual exhaust.  There is tons of torque on tap!

This car does everything right: Starts easily, runs and drives straight, stops and steers how you would expect for a well cared for 68".

This isn't a vehicle you will have to invest time into other than driving and enjoying it.  The tires are newer and in good shape with most of the tread remaining.  The braking system is working great and car stops well without noises, pulling, or concern.  Recent Oil change and fluids checked and replaced as required along with a new battery. 

The carb was just cleaned and rebuilt, new ignition system as well.  Plugs, wires, igniter, distributor, cap, and rotor.  No leaks to note on this vehicle!
