Vehicle Details

71 Corvette, big block roadster LS6 Clone. Frame-on restoration around 2005. Fresh 498CI engine has correct block 3963512 with correct date of L-7-70. CPX and matching VIN on it are re-stamps. All forged rotating assembly. Cylinder heads are correct 3946074- factory aluminum, also with 1970 dates on them. Heads have T&D shaft rockers and other major improvements done to them, never cracked. Engine is 10.6 Pump-gas friendly, and makes 650HP and 610 torque at about 6300RPM. (dyno sheets included). Correct intake manifold numbers, with heavy improvements. Date & number-correct distributor w/ points eliminator, 1000CFM 4150 Holley carb. No expense spared on this engine and drive-train. Original, numbers-matching TH400 trans. Original, independent rear-end set-up with 3.90 gears and heavy-duty improvements to all the components. Toms Diffs axels. Original wheels and Firestone wide-ovals, and numerous extra rally wheels with drag radials. This is a factory Mille-miglia red car with factory red vinyl int. Interior and exterior of this car are as nice as they look in the pics. Urethane base-clear still looks very good. An excellent driver quality paint. Rare color combo. 6500RPM red-line tach. Non-air car. Comes with both hard and soft tops. This car was in Super Chevy, Chevy High Performance, and on the cover of Vette Mag. Dec. 2015. (it currently has that engine and trans. combo in the car, but will be sold with the parts listed above.) Google "Super Chevy 71 Corvette runs 9s", or go to backwoods speed-shop on you tube. I've never drag raced the car with the combo listed above, but it will probably go mid to high tens with it. There is currently an NHRA approved 5 point roll bar in the car, you will need to go that fast, if you intend to race it, but it should make a perfectly nice street car with that combo also. I can remove the roll bar if you want, but it was an NHRA requirement for those speeds. The door bar is removable with one bolt. The car still drives real nice out on the street, like new, but it is being offered as-is. No guarantee for people who don't know everything that goes along with owning old muscle-cars. You're on your own. This car is very special to me, and I don't really need to sell it, but getting older now, and thinking about retirement. So don't bother calling if you want to steal it, or low-ball. You can contact me at 320-nine eight three-2352 Located in central MN
