Up for a no-reserve auction is a car that you don't see everyday…a 1971 Buick Centurion, powered by a 455 cubic inch V8. (7.5 liter.) The Centurion was only offered for three years; 1971, 72, and 73. Only 2,162 convertibles were produced in 1971. People often ask if this is a Wildcat; it's close since this is the car that replaced the Wildcat.

This car is currently registered and tagged in California, and it runs and drives very nicely. Clean / clear title in hand. The 455 was professionally rebuilt a few years ago, and now has more torque thanks to a mild cam and an Edelbrock intake.

This car is clean, but it is not a show car. There is some damage to the upholstery. Also, in the right light, you can see that the trunk paint doesn't perfectly match the rest of the car, despite the fact the whole car was repainted all at once a number of years ago. There is a light scrape down the passenger side. The original 8-track stereo is still in the dash, but a more modern unit (with CD changer) was installed as well. There are two smaller sheetmetal repairs in the floor of the car, beneath the rear seats.

Mechanically, the car is extremely good, but there is a power steering leak. I believe it is coming from the steering box. The car runs rich at start-up; it could use some adjustments to the choke. Once warmed up, the engine runs fantastic.

This Buick has a custom tow hitch; it was used to pull a small Airstream trailer. (This car has actually been featured in several RV magazines, and was on the cover of one of them.)

VIN:  466671X173103 . . Below is a link to a 30-second video showing the engine running:https://youtu.be/gsHAV5jLBA8

I will cooperate with haulers if you want this shipped somewhere in the U.S. or internationally.

$500 deposit is due within 24 hours of auction end. I will accept PayPal, cash, Zelle, CashApp, etc. I will take a check, but the car (and title) will be held for 10 days to make sure that the check is going to fully clear the bank.
