Here we have a 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible for sale. This car has undergone a meticulous restoration that is absolutely stunning. It's guaranteed to turn heads everywhere it goes. Not only is it a head turner but it's also powered by the Matching Numbers 427 and Muncie Four Speed. There was just over 1,900 of these L68 427 cars built and this one is one of the finest examples we've ever seen. IT comes equipped with numerous receipts from over the years along with the shop manuals and the NCRS shipping data report. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of this Chevrolet but first we would like to tell you a little about us.Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. It features one of the nicest body's we've ever seen on a C3 Vette. There's no signs of abuse or damage and it's clear that it has always been extremely well cared for. The fit of all the panels and doors is stunning. This '68 is a convertible, and it comes with Both the Hard Top that's done in body color and Soft Top that's done in white. When it was restored, they made sure to go back with the factory color scheme. The Le Mans Blue paint has meticulously done leaving a stunning finish. It's been kept buffed and polished to a deep rich shine that's slick as a ribbon. In '68 they added the vacuum hidden wipers that are all working on this car along with the hidden headlights. Both the front and rear bumpers on this Chevrolet are like new and sport a brilliant shine along with the rest of the trim and stainless. All the emblems are like new as well from the cross flags to the 427 accents on the Big Block Hood. To finish off the look it's sitting on the Rally Wheels with new beauty rings, top hats and riding on Red Line Tires. Next, we will look at the interior of this Convertible. On the inside it's also done in the factory optioned Medium Blue. Everything is like new, and it has the Vinyl Bucket Seats. The door panels are near flawless from the trim to the handles and window cranks. Inside the jams are all stunning along with the seal plates. The carpet has been replaced and is like new as well. Looking at the dash we can see that it's in remarkable condition and that everything is like new from the pad to the console. All the gauges are working as they should, and it has been upgraded with the Digital Radio. Both bucket seats are gorgeous along with the console that houses the four-speed shifter. Inside the cargo area all of the carpet is equally impressive, and the rear hatch opens and closes with ease and the convertible top release operates with ease as well.Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of this Chevrolet. Under the hood everything is nicer than the day it would have come off the showroom floors. The firewall, inner fenders, and radiator support are all in phenomenal condition with no signs of abuse. For power it's set up with the Matching Numbers L68 427/400HP Engine that features the factory Tri Power Intake and the Holley Carbs, 3659 on the ends and 4055 in the center. It's dressed in the factory style Air Cleaner and Valve Covers. For exhaust it has the correct Manifolds 3880827 and 3880828 with dual chambered exhaust kit that exits out the back. This Corvette of course comes with Four Wheel Disc Brakes and all the lines are in excellent condition. When you look under this Vette it's clear that has never been abused. All the frame is rock solid and in phenomenal condition. All the suspension is in excellent condition as well and a new leaf spring has been installed out back. The 427 engine runs through the Matching Numbers Muncie Four Speed Trans and the factory AZ 3.55 Heavy Duty Posi Rear End. Winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time. A $1000.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of end of auction. The remainder is due within 5 days of auction end. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Most banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles older than 1995 or with more than 100K miles. Make sure if financing that your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before bidding. Please arrange financing prior to bidding.
