Here's a classic El Camino SS 454. However, there's no engine or transmission and no driveshaft as well. It was a California car and was on the road for 21 years. The car now has a clear Oklahoma title. From doing research General Motors produced around 500 of these El Caminos with the SS 454 package. In 1970 it was hard to tell if they were a real SS car. But there are signs this is a real SS car such as a 12 bolt rear end, gauge cluster, cowl hood, power windows, 2 bolted rag joint, wider mount for the four core radiator, steering wheel with the SS on it, a remote control mirror and a glove box light. I'm positive it's a true 454 car. The car seems to have all original panels, such as fenders, doors and tailgate. You can see where the factory holes are for the SS 454 emblems. Also, the original color was misty turquoise with black interior with factor bench seat with an automatic transmission. I'm sure it's a LS5 454 because of the tachometer redlines at 5500 rpm. I was told the LS6 had a 6500 redline tachometer. One thing for sure you can fix this car up and you won't have to say it's a clone or a tribute car.
