1971 TRIUMPH VITESSE MK2 Convertible for sale

Triumph Vitesse MK2 convertible 1971. Signal red with black hood

I have owned this car since 2004. prior to this it has had only five previous owners in the last 42 years.
The car was subject to a full body-off restoration by the previous owner in 2002. starting with a new powder coated chassis and is still absolutely rock solid underneath . benefitting from the underside and inside of boot floor being waxoyled and being kept in a dehumidified garage for the last nine years
I have photographic records of the re-build which  will be included in the sale
All the hard work had been done when I bought this car . I've just tried to keep it in good condition.

The car has overdrive on 3rd and 4th Gears along with minilite replica alloys wheels  and a stainless steel sports exhaust system which sounds lovely .

Apart from servicing. work done since I bought it includes
Pancake air filtersSports coilEBC green stuff brake pads
Replacement brake master cylinder (original  aluminiun one available if required)It isn't perfect but it's in very good overall condition
A couple of minor faults you need to know about :-
The bodywork is good with a couple of minor cosmetic imperfections
The drivers seat has a split in the cover and the fuel guage stopped working recently

Last valuation by Triumph sports six club was £7. 00 in 2008 (certificated)
This car has  done  less than 3. 00 miles during the time I've owned it. it really needs to get out a bit more often.
It appeared on the front cover of Practical Classics magazine in September 1984 when it was in its original Saffron Yellow paint.

I'll include spare oil filters (3). a waterproof . breathable fitted  car cover. a carburettor service/rebuild kit and a lumenition electronic ignition system (never needed to fit it! )

PS road tax is free!  It is pre 1972 and therefore a historical vehicle for tax purposes
