This one of a kind Stingray is so fast; you should probably have a pilot's license to operate this vehicle dubbed “Supersonic.” This was a very expensive build, now being offered at a steep discount. Exceptionally well optioned and documented as well likely presenting very low miles (21k!); this rotisserie frame-off restored lifelong California (originally sold from Courtesy Chevrolet in San Diego) 1972 Corvette Stingray Coupe comes with the standard removable t-tops and rear window. Every nut and bolt has been turned on this “SUPERSONIC” HOT ROD!Please feel free to call us with any questions: (949) 629-8888.EXTERIOR Beautiful two-stage factory correct color sanded and buffed “Sunflower Yellow '' paint has been applied to iconic body lines and exceptionally detailed to include the inner fenders, chassis and its suspension components complete! The paint shows a few imperfections picked up over the years since the frame-off. When repainted, everything was removed before being completely reassembled with all new weatherstrip and emblems! A custom “factory” appearance L-88 hood was professionally manufactured (one-off) by a Corvette fiberglass specialist to accommodate the Pro-Comp Supercharger system! All three bumpers, both bumperettes as well the license plate and exhaust bezels present new chrome.Brand new tires look excellent mounted onto ‘17 inch cast aluminum “rally wheel” rims with chrome center caps. All lights work including the vacuum operated wiper door which remains functional as original! The entire vacuum system is rebuilt with new boots, valve assemblies and relays, two new canisters and factory color coded correct reproduction hoses.INTERIORThis factory optioned “Deluxe Interior” Stingray has received all new reproduction carpet, seat covers, center console, rear compartment door assemblies, vent deflector balls, reproduction door sill plates and custom cross flag “Lloyd's” floor mats with an all new reproduction screw kit. The dash is all original and looks beautiful (all speaker holes in the top dash pad are excellent.) The door panels are all original (as one would expect with a low miles car) and also look excellent for their age. We additionally installed new rubber boots, which drain the rear deck vent grilles. All the gauges work (except for the clock) and look beautiful as original with all of their faces remaining vibrant and needles still crisp altogether presenting in their new reproduction gauge bezel (with the addition of a vacuum boost gauge.) The factory stereo also maintains its original station; however, we discreetly installed a Bluetooth amp (behind the passenger side dash) connected to new speakers to play music/ apps on any smartphone!  MECHANICALS This Stingray has a highly detailed and rebuilt 383 Cubic Inch (approximately) 650 H.P. balanced and blueprinted motor (block painted yellow same as car, frame and suspension) running a D1-SC PRO COMP SUPERCHARGER! (The motor compartment could use a day's worth of cleaning and polishing yet still.) As one would expect with such a high-end build, several top shelf components have been added to the drivetrain including angle plug aluminum heads with 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves served by hardened retainers and springs; a Carb Shop-modified 750-cfm Holley double-pumper carburetor; 195cc polished aluminum intake; hydronic roller cam with heavy-duty double roller timing set; forged rods and pistons with moly rings; Melling high-volume oil pump; seven quart oil pan; skid plate and MSD ignition. The entire combo arrives at a boost-friendly compression ratio of 8.5:1. Everything has been exceptionally detailed to even the motor mounts which were chromed before installation with matching yellow poly bushings! The amazing drive train remains mated to the rebuilt factory original (#'s matching) wide-ratio 4-speed transmission, as altogether connected by a scatter shield housing a brand new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing.Of course all of the engine components have been replaced including water pump, four row aluminum radiator (stays exceptionally cool), electric fans and power steering. The car is operating an electric fuel pump and a compact high performance starter. All of the brakes have been replaced with new booster, master, all four calipers, four new hoses and metal lines, plus all new pads and rotors. When the front suspension was rebuilt (and exceptionally detailed as pictured), the car received all eight new a-arm bushings, four new ball joints, four new tie-rods, new idler arm and all new sway bar bushings. The rear suspension was completely rebuilt too; with six new u-joints, four new strut rod bushings, new mono-leaf rear spring with bushings and pinion snubber pushing. The trailing arms are new offset units to accommodate the ‘17 inch wheels! Of course four new shocks were installed simultaneously. The headers are bolted to newer 2.5 inch exhaust pipes and served by new Flowmaster mufflers. The gas tank and sending unit are new too. Please feel free to call us with any questions: (949) 629-8888.
