1980 Chevrolet El Camino Restomod for sale
Current customer rating: (51 votes ) based onBODY OVERVIEW: The body on this El Camino is clean and straight, and shows really well. This car has clearly been taken care of since it was finished. Sitting on staggered 18" and 20" Rocket wheels, the stance is perfect! This car appears to be largely original sheet metal, and as expected there is some minor corrosion on the original floor pans. The Monte Carlo SS/Choo Choo Customs style front end coupled with an old-school snap on tonneau cover really sets it off!
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The paint is a classic color combo-black on black! There's just something cool about a black Choo Choo Customs style El Camino. The paint has a nice glossy finish to it, and the black is subtle in a very good way.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior has been left largely original style, with a few notable tasteful upgrades. A couple of tweaks remind you that this car is far from factory stock! The most noticeable change is the center console with upgraded bucket seats, followed by the nice aftermarket digital gauges and Sony stereo. The interior is clean, comfortable, and in overall good condition save for some wear on the upgraded aftermarket steering wheel.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood is where things get interesting. This bad boy is powered by a fuel-injected GM LS V8 with upgraded pulleys, a short ram cold air intake, and chrome alternator & A/C compressor. This LS is equipped with headers that route the exhaust through dual Flowmaster mufflers, giving this Elco the perfect rumble! Outfitted with 4-wheel power disc brakes, this car has more than enough stopping power and let's be honest-it just looks cool!
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The slick, black, subtle look and the welcome performance upgrades!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: Tonneau covers aren't for everyone, but we think the one on this car really helps it retain some of that classic El Camino look!
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? There are a few minor items such as the reverse lights and emergency brake that do not work, however the most notable item in need of repair is the air conditioning.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone looking for an unique, mild-custom restomod ready to hit the road should be considering this one!
