1966 Ford Mustang Restomod. This car is built to be a little different! The Acapulco Blue paint was done earlier this year and it looks really sharp. It is a base coat clear coat. I intentionally avoided any stripes or emblems for a clean look. The car features a 302 and automatic transmission, with borgeson power steering and power disc brakes. The exterior features a fiberglass nose and hood, decklid, endcaps, and side scoops-- all purchased from Mustangs Unlimited. The headlights have amber halos for the turn signals. Billet mirrors continue the sleek look, and the billet grilles were perfect for the clean look up front. At the back there are billet tail light bezels, sequential LED turn lights, and the billet gas cap. Wheels are 15” Hurst Dazzlers with new tires. The rear trumpets are open trumpets from Summit going through the valence. The all new exhaust starts with black tri-y headers and 2.25” pipes to summit turbo mufflers. They have a nice rumble but aren't the loudest. The undercarriage pics are from the exhaust shop earlier this year when it was on the lift prior to the new exhaust system built.  This is not a rustbelt car, it was sold new in the Dallas DSO area. I didn't try to make it look nice with spray paint/undercoat and conceal anything, like so many of the dealers do. The interior features six gauge electronic instruments, with aluminum trim in the dash bezel and glove box door, reminiscent of the 67 deluxe interior styling. The upholstery and rear seat side panels are TMI Sport R versions with red stitching ( You should check out how much $$$$ these parts cost new!) Front bucket seats foam are new and very comfortable. The headliner is one-piece from Mustangs to Fear giving some extra head room. The Cobra style steering wheel is new and gives nod to the classic look. The carpet, dashpad, seat belts, and door panels are all new. I didn't put the driver side arm rest on for some extra space but it is included. In the engine compartment you'll notice the hipo style air cleaner on top of an edelbrock 4 barrel carb and edelbrock intake. The engine has other goodies like retro finned valve covers, billet aluminum pulleys, pertronix ignitor ignition/coil, and Tri-y headers. New aluminum radiator for cooling and new export brace/monte carlo bar for handling. The borgeson power steering conversion is a great upgrade making the car much easier to drive. I also installed a mustang steve bearing on the column end to ensure smooth operation. Some of the other details:New wiring (underdash, tail light, engine bay feed, engine feed, turn signal switch and harness) new wiper switch, headlight switch, ignition switch, hazard switchNew heater box, blower motor, and heater coreFat mat installed through much of the interior cabin spaceDriver side front floor pan replacedNew driver side window regulator. New door latches, lock sets.Dash radio block off plate (Blaupunkt radio in the trunk). Modern stereo speaker in dash, and pair of pioneer speakers in package tray.New power brake booster kit was from Speedway MotorsNew brake components and some new suspension components. Front disc brakes are Grenada style. Just had an alignment.New fuel tank. The person I acquired the car from indicated the engine and transmission were rebuilt at some point approximately 20 years ago, but I don't have any details. As I've driven the car sparingly I have not noticed any issues and it seems to run great. The data plate indicates this was a six cylinder auto car with blue paint and blue interior when it was sold new here in the Dallas area. The original door data plate is present. There are a few issues I want to mention, some I haven't had time to sort out - when I washed the car some water leaked from the windshield (just installed a couple months ago) so it probably needs a little more sealer. The driver side scoop was popped off in a parking lot. I've reattached it with 3M automotive double sided tape instead of the epoxy that was done originally by the body shop.  There are also a small number of paint blemishes or nicks throughout the car that are small. At some point the car backed up into something low on the ground so the end of the frame extension under the driver seat is a little bent up. Overall, the car looks incredible and I would consider it a very nice driver quality car. You'll have a blast with this restomod! I've had many people stop me to ask about the car so it gets a lot of attention. I encourage you to see the car in person or have it inspected. The car is sold as-is, where-is with no warranty of any kind. Ask questions or to see more photos BEFORE you bid. I'm limited in the number of photos I can post here and will gladly share more. I require a non-refundable deposit immediately if you want to purchase the car with the balance as cash within 7 days. The car is stored inside a garage. The car has a clean TX title in my name. It just passed the TX registration safety inspection and I have new plates on the way.I have a walk around video of the car and with it running. Please message me and I can send you the link.
