Ultimate Barn Find recently discovered in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. 1 owner High Output 4 speed, driver quality true survivor (original paint, interior and drivetrain) with the original window sticker and protecto-plate (and PHS).  This car was special ordered for Curtis Whiting when he was in high school as his first car. He checked the boxes off while Mom and Dad paid for it. He spared no expense. Curtis optioned his 1967 GTO with the HO engine, 4 speed transmission, Custom Sport wood steering wheel (still present in mint condition-under a cover its entire life), Head Rests, Rally Gauge Cluster, Disc Brakes, Console, Rally I wheels, Ride and Handling package, White Wide Ovals and a 3.55 Safety Track Rearend. When the car was delivered to the dealership, he did not like the look of the Rally I wheels so he had the dealership swap them for Rally II's. Everything on this car is original with the exception of the valve covers (originals are in bags in the trunk), transmission (original is in the trunk), and carburetor. The WS High output 400 engine block has the proper, matching EUN number to the PHS and Protecto-plate. The heads are proper 670's with proper dates and original ram air style manifolds (first year for these manifolds). The distributor is the proper number and date along with the intake manifold. The transmission in the trunk has the matching vin number to the car as well. The proper 1967 dated JC rally II wheels that Curtis swapped at the dealership are a match set with the original trim rings in the trunk. This car is about as original and untouched as they come nowadays. The interior is very nice driver quality, the dash is uncracked and the gauges maintain nice coloring (it was stored in a dark barn for 43 years). The floors and trunk are solid with the exception of the drivers side rear pan where there is rot starting on a stamped floor brace in the sheet metal pan and the trunk sides and drop-offs. The lower 1/4's have rot present and could be patched. I assume that the engine is set seized from sitting but I have not tried to spin it over. This vehicle is presentable and nice enough to drive as is as a survivor candidate, or it would be a straightforward nut and bolt restoration. Either way this is a high end, desirable, stacked headlight GTO with all of the right option boxes checked from the factory. I have a clean title from 1972 when Curtis' parents signed the car over to him when he moved out of the house. Please contact with any questions. The car is located about 5 miles east of Albany, New York with easy access to major highways. $500 deposit due within 24 hours, the rest due via cashiers check or bank transfer before/upon pickup. Good luck.
