1985 Mercedes 280ce for sale.

This car is one of the last of the legendary W123 series coupes. I have owned the car for four years covering 9000 miles and I am selling as I now have another classic project that I am working on.

The car comes with extensive service history from both Mercedes specialists and Mercedes main dealers. The last work to be carried out was completed by Mercedes Benz Colindale. The body work is in excellent condition and the car is kept covered and garaged and has only been used in the dry. The engine runs perfectly. no smoke on running and the gearbox changes seamlessly. Whilst I have had the car I have replaced all four shock absorbers with the correct specification Bilstein HD units. I have replaced the drive shaft couplings and fitted a brand new original Mercedes exhaust system (centre and rear box). New EBC brake discs and green stuff pads were fitted six months ago.

The car is fitted with working air conditioning. cruise control and electric sunroof. The car also comes with 15" Bundt alloys as opposed to 14" which were standard for this model (these are also included with the car). The wheels are fitted with four Continental tyres with plenty of tread. For entertainment the car comes with a iPhone compatible Pioneer head unit. component speakers and amplifier. For security the car comes fitted with a Clifford Cat 1 alarm system.

The interior is in good condition. the only faults being wear to the drivers seat bolster and one rear window which does not function (I have a replacement regulator and motor to replace this). The drivers seat is also a little soft in the base and I have a reconditioned seat base from Mark Cosovich which is included in the sale.
