Hello you are bidding on  my personal 1978 MGB. If you have been looking for a very nice driver MGB? then look no further! I have owned this car for almost five years.  So I am very familiar with the repairs and condition of this car.  Below is a list of the car's present condition and features.

Body/Paint

Original South Carolina car. Body is stright and rust free mainly do to being garage kept most of it life. This B still has its original Jack points (rare) I have been over this car 100% with a large magnet/bondo meter. There No signs of rust. body repairs. or damage.  The car was painted trophy red in 2007. From a scale of one to ten I give the paint an eight. "MGB" body stripe installed in May 2012. The Bumpers also have been painted and they look great! Top was replaced in July 2013 (Robbins) black top with zipper back window. Tonneau cover and top cover in good condition.

Interior

I personally did a dash swap in 2011. The dash is in great condition removed from a 1974 MGB. All Smith's gauges work w/ the addition of a Smith's Volt and Vacuum gauges.  All interior panels were replaced with a new set in November 2013. Carpet is original. but very presentable. Seats have been recovered with a black leather kit.

Engine/ Mechanical

1800cc 5 Main bearing B-series engine. Compression readings (125-123-123-125) Engine runs flawlessly no ticks or smoke. I have fixed all the oil leaks and right now she leaks no oil! (Hot) oil psi @ 51psi. 70psi (cold) No idling issues or overheating issues even on a hot day in traffic! Top end of the engine was rebuilt in 2009.  I use Castrol 20w50 Part synthetic oil and a Zinc additive used on every oil change.  This MG has apoxx. 70. 00 on the car overall.

Carburetion/ Ignition

The engine has been fitted with a Weber 32/36 (Electric Choke) carburetor. I have owned MGs before with SU carburetors. and I can tell you Weber makes a very reliable  and powefeul carburetor! The ignition system is a aftermarket Lumigntion ignition. It has been also just as reliable. Fresh tune up this past summer.

Electrical

New 90 amp Saturn. GM CS-130 Alternator swap (Old Lucas went south). All the electrical works and I have never had a battery drain. Although for added safety and security. I have also added a battery cutoff switch mounted behind the passager seat. Wiring has not been chopped or spliced. Courtesy lights installed under the dash.

Sound System

Newly install 300w Sondpex subwoofer box with a Pyle 300w mini amplifier. The amplifier has an iPod jack so you can listen to all your tunes. Note: An Am/Fm radio has not been installed. Mine and like most iPods have radio Wi-Fi and all our favorte songs. :) So I felt an expensive radio was not needed.

Drivetrain/ Suspension

Solid four speed gearbox pulls strong. Two year old Spicer Hardy U-Joints. Clutch has about 5K on it.  60 spoke wire wheels. with brand new  (4) MG crested. nbsp;two eared chrome knock offs. Tires have about 85% tread left on them. Wires are straight and true no wobble on the road. I completely rebuilt the front suspension in January 2012. All new bushings. rebuilt shocks etc. Really transformed the handling of this car!

Side Notes.

Over 30 years after production the MGB is still the worlds most loved classic sports car. This is mainly due to the plentaful and affordable aray of parts and large sorces of infomation to keep our little cars on the road.   Driving and owning MGs for over 15 years. I uderstand all too well the love and detacation owners feel towards these cars.
