1977 HX HOLDEN FACTORY V8 - KINGSWOOD UTE - ORIGINAL COUNTRY CAR - 3 speed manual column shift - Bench Seat

This HOLDEN V8 work ute came from country Victoria near Shepparton. It had signs of a real hard working farm ute... it had a few modifications prior to my ownership including rear cage in the tray, extra thick mud flaps under the tray and front bullbar brackets hacked into the grille.

It was a factory 253 v8 Kingswood ute with metalic "persian sands" paint when it came off the Holden factory floor in 1977.

The 253 engine I believe is from a later model HZ based on the engine number and it has a "reconditioned" sticker on it.....so am confident it was rebuilt at some stage....and its sounds, feels like a tight and strong motor.

The klms show 504'000 and I am confident these are true and correct.

IT IS NOT A SHOW CAR -  I had it resprayed by an ol' mate who works from home...so YES it has BOG and YES we replaced some panels, and YES its has imperfections.

I've owned it for about 5 years and had it on club rego for last couple of years.

Here are some of the $$$$ spent on it before rego:

Complete overhaul on front brakes with new rotors and pads, fresh flush fluid.

New windscreen. New water pump, new plugs, ALL filters replaced, NEW ELECT distributor, leads and coil.

NEW stereo/CD player with electronic digital antenna, 4 quality speakers mounted behind the bench seat ... but kept the ORIGINAL Kingswood AM Radio connected in the dash...so you can have option to use both of them when cruising... and it still looks original.

Re-Trimmed the classic TAN bench seat. Kept original door trims...replaced the kick panels with NEW after market. NEW Re-trimmed rubber floor matt including "sound deadner" for better accoustics.

Custom NEW TWIN exhaust connected to refurrbed EXTRACTORS with new gaskets...has a lovely V8 rumble. Sanblasted and repainted BLACK original rims (widened on the rear)...with 4 barnd new tyres "fatter on the rear".

Comes with 2 BRAND NEW spare black/rims tyres matching to whats on the car.

Complete overhaul & gasket kit for original TWIN carby.

Flushed and freshened up the original copper v8 radiator and replaced hoses....Idles on hot days and does never get HOT.

NEW filters (Fuel, oil, air) Replaced oil and gaskets in the DIFF.

Freshened up a few items around the engine bay with paint during the tinkering stage.

NEW modern LED flood lights

Replaced the front guards, front grille, Rear Tailgate and front bar. The UTE was Resprayed in 2019 (its maybe a 6/7 out of 10.....It is NOT a show car...I restore to drive them...not show them!

Great cruiser. Few little issues..horn not working properly (got a few replacement parts there but haven't fixed it yet), the gas pedal the pin bit loose (common as most people would know about), replaced the original fuel gauge with NEW after market....new battery, The roof lining is original....its OK...but was next job on my list to replace... has a signs of age and small tears

I have advertised it elsewhere so hope to run full auction...but may close it...if it gets sold.

Can call or txt if you have questions JEFF o4I4 44o 42o or would like to inspect the ute. I have recently sold my warehouse because I am retiring and this is the last of my toys. I do have some spare parts.

Contact made upon end of auction for the winning bidder - Payment by EFT or CASH must be made within 7 days - Good Luck!
