For sale on behalf of the owner. this 1977 Alfa Romeo Spider is in excellent condition throughout and is ready to be enjoyed this summer.

Re-painted in the correct Rosso Italia Red. the mileage is shown as 87. 91 kilometres. (53. 80 miles). which is confirmed by the history of consecutive MOT certificates dating back to 1986.

Overall
There is a comprehensive service history folder with the car. which was first registered in Woking in 1977. with receipts and details of work completed along with service records and the original instruction book.

Subject of a full. bare metal restoration around 10 years ago. there is an extensive file of photographs showing the work completed. /span>

There are two small marks in the paintwork. which do not detract from the car in any way. but have been taken into account and reflected in the price of the car.

The car has been owned by a number of members of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club and the documentation includes a 1996 price estimate by the Alfa Romeo Owners Club Valuation Officer.

This is a great car for summer adventures and trips to the continent.

Exterior

Finished in Rosso Italia. the Spider is in excellent condition. The paint finish is very good. with a small imperfection on the boot hinge. The hood is nearly new. and all of the glass and rubber are in excellent condition throughout.

All chrome work was replaced during the restoration and is therefore in very good condition. without evidence pitting or corrosion.

Interior
The black leather interior is in excellent condition. with no marks or rips in any of the four seats.

There is a static seatbelt for each of the four seats.

The dash does not suffer from any cracking and all dials and instruments work as they should. The wood rimmed steering wheel is by “Personal” and is engraved with the Alfa Romeo logo.

There is a period addition of a Veglia clock on the passenger side.

The Motorola radio is fully functioning and the electric aerial operates smoothly.

In the boot there is a jack and a spare alloy wheel and tyre in very good condition.

Powertrain

The engine bay is very tidily presented.

The engine runs twin Dellorto carburettors and pulls strongly. The standard five-speed gearbox works as it should without the synchro crunching into second gear which is a common problem with these cars.  

The car has an MOT until 28th May 2014 and is not currently taxed.

The car will be MOT tested and receive a basic oil and filter service at the point of sale.
