2006 FERRARI F420 CHALLENGE RACE CAR

The 4.3 litre V8 engine produces 483 bhp (360 kw), as well as the torque at 343 ib.ft (465 N.m). 0-100 in 2.89 seconds, top speed 350 kmh/h.

The transmission is the 6 – speed, paddle operated, sequential manual gearbox, using Formula One technology and can shift gears in 150 ms.

Both front and rear suspension use double wishbones and anti-roll bars.

Only 142 cars were produced and globally, there are approximately 50 cars in existence today.

This car was purchased in the USA on the 16 February 2016 and imported into the UK on the 25th April 2016, and all import duties, VAT etc have been paid.

The car was damaged when it hit a tire wall (they all have!!!!!). It has had a genuine rear quarter, front wing, from Ferrari and new challenge bumpers ex stock from a race team. Plexiglass was replaced all round.

Freshly resprayed in Giallo Yellow with painted tricolore stripe beneath the clear coat.

Panels were taken back to metal to check for previous damage and bodywork found to be in great shape.

Car has been aligned and corner weighted to Ferrari spec.

Runs new Trofeo R tyres on original wheels.

Brakes are steel to make the car more affordable to run and eligible for many current race series.

Standard features are snap off steering wheel, roll cage, built in telemetry system, digital dash with live data streaming, shift lights and plumbed in fire suppression system.

The fire suppression tank requires a refill but comes with the car.

The engine still has its original lead seals on and does not appear to have ever been opened. It is low hours and is in great condition. It has been compression tested and freshly serviced.

The gearbox is smooth, and changes are quick and precise. The f1 valve block has had three new solenoids and pump.

Rear main oil seal has been replaced due to slight leak and the clutch wear found to be minimal and in great condition.

The rh rear suspension arms have been replaced along with anti-roll bar drop link and shock. All undertrays and arch liner were also changed.

The car comes with the Ferrari diagnostics tool and software along with lead for the telemetry system.

It has OMP wrc carbon seats in it which are fine for track days, however for racing they will need to be replaced as they are out of date.

There is also a pair of additional exhaust mufflers which can attach to the rear silencer so the car will run below track noise limits on drive by.

The car drives perfectly and is in great condition having spent so long in storage. There was no further evidence of damage when the car was repaired, and it runs faultlessly.
