For Sale The rarest o the rare!!! We have just repatriated from a deceased estate in the USA. his very early (ordered November 1965) 1966 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow 2 door Coupe coachbuilt by James Young. The car evidently went to the USA in the early 1970s and was not used much. It was in dry storage since 1983 and not used. It is probably in much the same condition as it was when exported and of course has not suffered the same rust problems as many of its counterparts here in the UK. This was the last model that James Young made before their demise. Only 50 examples were produced; 15 as Bentley and 35 as Rolls Royce. The total includes left and Right Hand Drive. This example is an original UK car. We have the build sheets from the RREC. It is very original indeed and whilst it could use a repaint the interior is surprisingly original and with a good clean would need nothing. We are listing in the "as found" condition and viewing is recommended we can supply a coffee and a chat! The engine runs very well but needs an exhaust (we can supply a used system if needed) and the brakes are bad. One rear side window needs the glass replacing as you can see. We have fitted 4 unused correct AVON 235 70 15 RR Tyres. (In our opinion all Shadows driver better with the later type tyres!!) However. the structure of the car appears very good with only one very small hole under the rear bumper (pictured) These cars rarely come to the market and NOT original examples like this. Probably the only chance to acquire what could be the best example left???? The BEST investment for years to come will beat ANY bank ANYWHERE for return on capital we are sure!! The car will be sold with US papers and duty/VAT paid slip so can be registered anywhere in the EEC without further payment. We will require a payment of £1000 at the end of the auction and full payment within 3 days by BANK TRANSFER ONLY. We can arrange delivery throughout the UK please ask for a quote. Thank you
