A beautifully restored left hand drive open tourer. This car has undergone extensive works since being imported to this country in the 1990's. Absolutely everything needing doing has been done making for a car you can buy with no expenditure being required & miles of trouble free motoring lying ahead. Work completed includes the following list:

Steering box rebushed
New wheel bearings
Replacement exhaust silencer
Engine stripped & fully rebuilt
Cylinder head skimmed to improve compression ratio
New teeth on flywheel
New hoses fitted
Dynamo and starter motor overhauled

Completely rebuilt final drive unit

New hood and upholstery including sidescreens

The car is finished in burgundy over black with the recent paintwork being excellent. To the interior is black upholstery with black carpets & a high quality black hood. Wooden artillery wheels are fitted all round with a spare to the rear between the body & the rear trunk.

The last owner has toured extensively in the car & thought nothing of driving down from Yorkshire to the ferry ports & embarking upon long sojourns through rural France. The car is absolutely on the button with a smooth powerful & silent continental engine & is more then ready for the next motoring season.

The range of Star cars was described as "cars with backbone" since they were fitted with the famous Durant tubular backbone chassis. By the time the star Model C was developed. Durant motors had spread across America having plants in Long Island City. Bridge Port. New York. and Elizabeth. New Jersey. where this particular car was manufactured. From the launch of the Star Model C the company grew quickly. It was said that Durant Motors did over $91 million worth of business in their first 15 months of trading. and accepted orders for 231. 00 cars in this same time period.
