This is a 1964 Amphicar.  I bought it in the early 1980's and got it running.  Drove it for a few months and decided to restore it.  Had the paint and body work done, and then other things got in the way.  It has been sitting in a dry garage for 30 plus years.  It is time to give someone else the pleasure.  The car was remarkably straight and rust-free.  The only body panel replaced was the section under the battery.  That was from battery corrosion, not rust.  There is some light shop-scuffing from being stored all those years.  This would make a great project.  (Most "project" Amphicars have the bottom third rusted away.)  The engine is the original 1147cc Triumph Herald unit.  It ran well when I got it.  Not locked up, still turns freely.  It is not bolted in, just sitting in place, as I figured the new owner might want to at least refresh the rings, bearings, etc.  When I drove it, the engine ran well, the transmission shifted smoothly, and the car drove well.  Water transmission also works, providing power to the propellors.  No, I never had it in the water.  The mileage on the old speedometer is 45891.  I replaced the speedo, clock and other gauge cluster with brand new, so the new speedo reads zero.  Windshield glazing rubber, side moldings and tail fin moldings were installed by the body shop.  There is a new clutch assembly on the engine.  New parts included are front and rear bumpers, front and rear navigation lights, horn and casing, rubber floor mat, battery box, hoses, various rubber seals and weatherstripping.  The seats have been re-upholstered in the original factor color pattern.  Check the pictures, other parts include the convertible top frame, radiator, oil cooler, engine and radiator shrouds, propellors and factory jack and handle.Parts are readily available, but rather pricey.  One thing you will need to get is a convertible top.  The old door panels are included for a pattern if you would rather have them made than to buy new ones.  Along with the car, you get a factory workshop manual and a factory parts manual.  One nice feature about the parts manual is that all nuts, bolts, hardware show the size and dimensions.I assume if you are reading this you know about the Amphicar and its history.  Less than 4000 made and less than 400 still around today.  Here is your piece of history.  And questions, please ask.  $200.00 non-refundable deposit with the balance preferably by bank transfer.  You are responsible for shipping or pickup.  There is no buy it now.
