1959 Morris Minor 1000 Traveller

We are facilitating the sale of this wonderful 1959 Morris Minor 1000 Traveller with 9,950 miles on the clock (Unverified).

The car is being sold by the current owner who acquired it in 2018. Since then he has covered minimal mileage and cared for the car very well, making sure to keep it garaged. The service history is a little vague however the car has been serviced within the last 100 miles or so. There is also a traceable MOT history which demonstrates how well the car has been looked after with any advisories being repaired appropriately.

This particular model is powered by a 948cc BMC Series-A  engine which was an updated power unit intended to make the car more suitable for the new motorways of the time. The transmission is a traditional stick shift manual with a clutch pedal. 

Inside the cabin you will find a brilliant red vinyl interior which is in fairly good condition, this covers both the seating and the door cards. Under the bonnet the engine is clean and tidy with no visible leaks - the car was started multiple times while being photographed without issue.

This is a third generation model which came with a few upgrades over the previous iteration of the Morris Minor including the previously mentioned engine & a new single curved windscreen to aid with visibility.

After some investigation we have discovered that the car has undergone extensive restoration work during it's life with a detailed collection of invoices dating back to around 2014. This includes a full body restoration (with pictures) as well as an extensive list of replacement parts. This is a testament to how well the car has been looked after with the previous owners spending a considerable sum of money to keep the vehicle in good shape.

While the mileage reads 9,950 we are unable to verify this prior to 2008 and as such there is a small chance that the car has had the clocks replaced. This is because it was common in the past to replace the clocks on these cars due to internal parts failure.
