Fabulous MGB GT in Red with 15 inch chrome wire wheels from a MGC.
One previous owner who only sold the car to me because at 82 years old she couldn't cope with the lack of power steering and general upkeep of the car.
Always based in Plymouth. Devon. RJY 820K has often been seen around the lanes of Devon and Cornwall with the odd trip across to France.
Rebuilt 7 years ago by a local MG specialist. the car had extensive panel replacements including floor. inner and outer sills. castle sections. several panels and undersealed. The car was then professionally repainted in the original Signal Red.
The interior was refurbished at the same time in superb quality deep red leather upholstery front and rear seats. I don't have the bills for the work that was carried out but it must be well into the thousands that were spent and the car has only covered around 700 miles since the work was completed.
The car has a top quality Ivor Searle engine. the carburettors were fully overhauled six months ago and the brakes are new all round. Also replaced the exhaust with a Moss Europe stainless steel sport system with an all stainless fitting kit. King pins. bushes and other parts that wear were all fine at the last MoT and I have hardly driven the car since.
Tax and MoT until March and April respectively. Tax exempt but I would happily put a full MoT on the car if requested.
Tyres are new Dunlop SP Sports that have covered about 100 miles if that.
The car also benefits from having had a 'Westco' 12 volt AGM gel battery conversion last year. Holds the charge superbly and the car starts on the button. Recently serviced and ready to go.
Fuel gauge worked well until recently but has stopped working. I will endeavour to sort that before the car goes anywhere
Needs some minor work to bring up to a really high standard. Couple of minor blemishes on the paintwork from sitting in the garage. under the bonnet could do with detailing. Some of the chrome round the windscreen frame is tarnished but I have a new set of windscreen chrome surrounds that will come with the car. The driver's side chrome wing strip has a small dent and again I will supply a new one with the car.  The chrome is in it's packaging. I haven't found the time to fit it.
Only selling due to a lack of time to enjoy the car. I have several other classics and can't drive them all.
My wife doesn't want me to sell the car. but it is a waste not using it. This is a reluctant sale.
Any questions 07796 261032.
Cash on collection preferred or PayPal. In any event the car will not be released until funds have cleared.
I would consider delivering the car if you are not too far away if we could agree costs.
Overall a lovely car that has been cared for throughout it's 42 years.  A few signs of wear but this will be one to keep.
