Figures quoted at 7. 7 seconds to 60mph and a top speed of 127mph make this a true ‘hot hatch'. The 5-speed transmission works seamlessly with a progressive clutch action and short shift. br/>
WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
Unique and highly distinctive three-spoke alloy wheels with a few tiny marks are shod in matching 185/55 R14 Pirelli P600 tyres. The servo-assisted diagonally split brakes with ventilated discs up front and 203mm drums at rear cope adequately in stopping this car safely.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied by Ford Main Dealers Dees of Croydon Ltd to a Mrs Susan Lehec on the 1st of August 1991 for the total sum of £10. 50 including optional black paint and glass etching as per the New Car Invoice and Order form. The vehicle remained in the supplying dealers annual care for five years and 9. 88 miles when a further three services were carried out by the owner's local garage up to 11. 71 miles. She then decided to stop driving but declared the vehicle SORN every year from 2004 with DVLA letters neatly filed. A further two custodians have continued to preserve the car realising its historical importance and rarity. Only 715 are known to exist today most of which far removed from the originality of this example.
