Fabulous Ford Mustang Convertible (The Edge model) Wide body. 1999. Rare colour.

Here for sale is a lovely example of a Ford Mustang (Edge Model) convertible 1999. This model was the last model before the very latest shape Mustang. So if you always fancied a new shape one but couldnt afford one then this fabulous looking car may be the answer. This model was given a big makeover from the previous rather nondescript earlier model. It was made wider . squarer. given great looking rear wing vents. larger wheel arches. more angled rear end. giving it much more of an aggressive look. and a much nicer interior.  This particular car was registered the last day of the last century !!!! 31/12/1999. Finished in a very rare colour that was used on the later model for a very short time. Its a stunning dark green pearl mettalic which suits the car perfectly. It is a car that looks quite 'muscular' in car terms and has a real presence on the road. Always gets admired as it is a rare sight. Most people seeing the car comment on its condition.  It sits on a set of 'Bullet 'style extra wide alloys which just make the car. The car is in lovely condition all bar couple of small blemishes. one touch in on the bonnet(composite not steel) and a small two cm crack at the back of the bonnet(hardly seen unless looking closely)  Im being fussy!!!Paintwork is very nice and has been waxed well by previous owner giving lovely shine. Panels are all straight with no dents.  Panels are rust free(some composite anyway)Hood is all good and works as it should. (double insulated)Electric windows all fine. drivers could do with slight adjustment but works fine. Lovely exhaust note from stainless 'cat back' system. not too load but just right. Twin outlet trim. (gives approx another 10 bhp)Engine starts first turn. idles well. temp gauge never moves off normal. oil pressure spot on. Pulls well. no smoke from engine. uses no oil. Engine is oil tight. no leaks on floor.  Gearbox changes as it should. no jolts or clunks. smooth as silk. over drive works fine. One month ago a did a 1350 mile tour of Scotland in the car and it performed perfectly. never missed a beat. It was comfortable  and relaxed and didnt flinch!!I have since done about 800 miles as i have been using the car every day. Fuel consumption is not bad as its a new generation engine. On my Scottish trim it averaged 33mpg. running around urban its around 27mpg. not so bad for a 3. 8 engine. Interior. Rear leather seats like new. Drivers front showing some creasing/cracking on side where you slide in. ommensurate with age and mileage. easy fix with one of the great products for leather out there for sale. or use as is. sorry im a bit fussy!!Passenger front seat just light grease marks commensurate with age and mileage. front carpets have original over mats so carpets underneath are excellent. Dash board all very good as is centre console. Nothing broken or missing.  Cruise control works fine. Traction control works fineCd multi changer works fine. Screen all good and not chipped. Alarm fitted. Couple of tyres will need changing in about 4000  miles. Can tax at buyers cost. I would drive this car to the south of France tomorrow without even thinking about it. its very reliable.
