Just arrived as an unwanted part exchange...

Genuine Garage Find...... been stored since approx 1994.

This auction is for a Classic 1984 RENAULT 4,  1.1 GTL ,5 DOOR... Getting harder to find and rarely come up for sale as often as they used to...... Been stored for a fair few years AND SOLD AS A RESTORATION PROJECT OR SPARES.

...NO STUPID QUESTIONS, WHAT'S BEST/LOWEST PRICE, WHAT WILL YOU TAKE ETC ETC. BEFORE YOU'VE EVEN VIEWED OR SPOKEN TO ME ABOUT IT..

WHAT YOU SEE IN PICS IS WHAT YOU ARE BUYING. 

Definitely no silly offers or timewasters, I'm not desperate for cash,  but could use the space.

Showing 65,000 miles which i have no history for but could be genuine.??

I have ONE key. 

I will have the latest v5c Registration document all in my name within the next few days when it wings its way back from DVLA.

1.1 Engine turns freely.... I'VE NOT HAD IT RUNNING AS THE STARTER MOTOR IS JAMMING AND FUEL SMELLS VERY STALE BUT WAS ASSURED IT WAS OK WHEN PARKED UP.... BUT SOLD AS A NON RUNNER AT PRESENT... These old engines are very easy to work on and pretty bullet proof and do a rebuild cheaply with loads of available parts.

Clutch and 4 speed Manual Gear box were apparently all good when parked up but i obviously have no way of testing them.

Suspension and steering all seems ok.

 I would suggest the braking system would need a FULL overhaul as a matter of course due to length of time stood..

 Underneath overall looks reasonable.....DOES NEED BOTH OUTER SILLS WELDING AND A BIT OF WORK ON THE INNER SILLS AT THE BACK...  You will probably find the odd patch needed if you start digging so bear in mind that some welding will be required.

Body and paintwork is in need of some attention.....BIGGEST ISSUE FOR ME IS THAT I AM LED TO BELIEVE THAT THE GARAGE IT WAS FOUND IN STARTED TO COLLAPSE ON THE BONNET AND ROOF CAUSING SOME QUITE BIG DENTS....PANELS ARE SOLID BUT DENTED... Doors and tailgate are solid and straight...just have some minor surface rust where it has been standing ..

Bumpers over riders and end caps all there,

Lights all there... left rear lense is cracked .

 Seats  & interior are in good shape.... with a decent valet it would be near mint.... Rubber Carpet is very good as is the headlining..

Dash and gauges are all good .

 Glass all good APART FROM A CRACK ON THE WINDSCREEN.

PLEASE REALISE IF BIDDING THAT THIS IS A 35+ YEAR OLD NON RUNNING PROJECT AND AS SUCH COMES WITH ITS OWN LITTLE TRAITS AND IDIOSYNCHROSIES. ....NOT A BRAND NEW CAR.

I've probably forgotten something but viewing welcome before end of auction and I will try to answer any questions honestly as possible.
