Brand new & freshly built by noted special builders Classic Restorations of Scotland. The car was built at vast expense during the past three years & was just delivered to the owner. the needs of whom have now changed. I have not added up the bills. but suffice to say the car cost a very considerable amount of money. plus the donor car.
The coachwork takes the form of a very sporting open two seater with twin aero screens. The paintwork is flawless deep blue complimented by black leather seats in new condition & black carpets. Pleasingly. the original walnut dash has been retained along with the instruments.
The car was given a thorough mechanical fettling during the build with everything being gone through & replaced or rebuilt as necessary. An overdrive unit was fitted which automatically engages around 70MPH in top gear making the car very long legged & relaxed at higher speeds. Feather light on the steering. the car is a joy to drive with huge torque & no shortage of acceleration.
A useful luggage box sits in-front of the fuel tank. There is also more luggage space behind the front seats. A full tonneau cover provides cover for the cockpit when away from the car. A zipper splits the tonneau allowing the passenger side to remain covered whilst driving solo.
