Yes this car is really 1 of 1 according to the Marti report , see picture 22.  A 68 Galaxie XL , convertible , automatic with AC and power disc brakes !! Originally Brittany Blue with blue interior this car was restored for an older gentleman who had wanted one of these forever and he wanted it in Butternut Yellow with the brown accent stripes and black interior. The project took about ten years and was a real struggle but finally wrapped up earlier this year and unfortunately he passed before he could really enjoy it. There are 3 binders full of receipts and notes , the body is all original with some floor work done, the interior is new including the dash rebuilt, door panels done , seats recovered, new carpet, etc. the power top is new with glass window , works very well. New gas tank , new dual exhaust system, transmission totally rebuilt and shifts great, the original 428 was completely rebuilt and it is .30 over with a mild cam and Edelbrock intake manifold and new Holley carb. It runs very strong. Frame is excellent , front suspension is basically original but tight with the power disc brakes working very well. The car drives like a dream and really turns heads. The car really looks good but its not a show quality vehicle , some trim pieces have been painted , some of the stainless trim on the top of the door and around the glass has scratches and sand marks, the door handles and grill have pitting, the windshield is not the greatest, both bumpers were rechromed the rear looks great but the front has pitting , there are some dings on the right rear quarter panel but minor, the main problem is the left quarter behind the wheel , he had some wheels the required special lugs and the left rear fell off while he was driving it damaging a baseball sized
