1966 Ford Bronco

1966 U13 Roadster Budd BroncoNO RESERVE!High bid gets it, regardless of price.O.K., first of all, I want to get one thing out of the way - I am not a Bronco expert.  I'm just a guy that is into old trucks, and was lucky enough to find this at a local farm sale.  This is the second roadster I have had, so I do know that the U13 is a factory roadster, but I have only read a little about the Budd body early Broncos - and I believe this is one.  The vin is: U13FL769280 and is found on both the driver side kick panel and on the passenger side frame, no vin tag on glove box door like other Broncos.  According to vin - this was built in Oct of 1965 - a very early Bronco.  It appears that the front fenders and maybe grille have been changed at some point, the rest appears original - down to the sticker with jacking instructions.  It was originally a turquoise or blue color, but was painted orange at some point.  There is no rust that has been painted over.  There is NO rust anywhere on the frame, and the body has very little.  A spot on each side of inner fender support under hood, one small spot on bottom of tailgate, and a couple of thin spots on floor boards - this had carpet in it that held the moisture is the only reason for this.  I took a couple of pictures of this before I cleaned it up and removed the carpet.  At some point the linkage for the steering column shifter must have quit - and they cut a hole to add a floor shifter - they also cut a hole above the shock on front passenger side - I have no idea why - but it is flat metal and will be easy to put a piece back in.  Other than the shifter everything appears to be mechanically stock - I have the original air cleaner, just took it off for pictures. Obviously the tow hitch on the front was added, the farmer would pull this to the field behind his tractor, and then drive the bronco home or to town for lunch, or for parts, etc.  We put a set of points and plugs in it and it fires when you pour gas in the carb, but other than that engine condition is unknown.  They said it was driven in the shed and shut off, but it had been there so long that the tires had almost dry rotted off of it.  It was an old wooden out building with a dirt floor - so I guess technically this would be a barn find.  I put some old used tires on it just so it can roll easy.  Everything on the drivetrain is all together and not visually broken or taken apart.  Obviously the doors and top were added later, the top was made by Kelly.  I tried to include the best 24 pictures, but I can get pictures of whatever you need or answer any questions to the best of my ability - its best to call or text Cort at 620-786-5172 for a quicker response. I know there are a lot of bronco projects out there, but if you are going to spend the time and money to restore one, this one will be like money in the bank due to its rarity. I will guarantee a good Kansas title with this Bronco - I have sent in everything to the state and will have it back in 30 days or less. I also have the old title from when I purchased it.
