1987 Mitsubishi Starion 2.0 Ex Turbo classic 80s Japanese sports

Mitsubishi Starion 2.0 ex turboI bought this Starion along with another last year from Ireland. I'm a collector and restorer of Starions and normally I would keep and add to my collection but this one had to be MOT'd to re-register and quite a lot of work had to be done to get it fit for an mot so I'd like to sell this to let somebody have some fun with it whilst it is MOT'd instead of it sitting in a barn with the MOT being wasted. Don't get me wrong it looks pretty and is roadworthy but it will need light ongoing restoration this is no where near concours and it will need constant upkeep like all other vehicles that are over 30 years old. I shall try to give you all the good and bad points of the car and do my best to describe the car as honestly as possible but you are encouraged to make an appointment to come over and have a look and see for yourself before bidding blind on this car.The following was done to be re registered and the all important motProfessionally welded by a local craftsman in various parts of the car including the normal rear floor by the arches, rear and front wheel wells.Both rear brake calipers sent away to be rebuilt and painted, new handbrakes cables, rear pads and brake lines all replaced.Rear bush subframe replaced with good s/hand subframe and bush bolts. Serviced, cambelt and balance belt replacedBad points of interestanyone who is familiar with Starions knows of the rear arches and wheel well rot problem, this is no exception having both rear wheel arches being repaired not so well, arches are not in perfect condition with a non perfect curve, there is also bubbling around the arches and poor paint matching.Both side rear wing spoilers and rear spoiler have rust blowing through the securing plates making them a poor fit against the body.Paint thin in places and not perfect in others.Engine has a vibration which has not investigated properly so will need checkingExhaust not the best but roadworthy.I haven't driven it enough to find anymore faultsGood points of interestIts a Starion once your hooked you can't seem to let them aloneIt has 10 months MOTGood toyo tyresInterior is excellent even drivers seat bolsters are in excellent conditionAS said already rear brake calipers professionally refurbishedAll rear brakes sorted including pipes and cables, proper pads by Porterfield Racing fittedStarts first time, no problem with good oil pressureThis was featured in a magazinegood bit of historyExcellent front three piece spoilerback on original uk platesYou can tax and insure it and have some fun!Good/bad points- which I wasn't so sure what category to put them in due to my own preferencewheels refurbed silver and black ( powder coated) they look good, but not my thingsunroof sadly fitted but no leaksexcellent rear lights but sadly the lego sortsort after 2.0 model (I'm more the 2.6 but each to their own)Hopefully i've given you a good bit of information on the starion, Sensible questions welcome, viewings a must really arranged at a sensible timeThank you for looking
