1966 Austin Westminster DeLuxe 4 Speed Manual with OverdriveVery reluctant sale of my Westminster, however I have only had time to drive it in and out of the workshop a couple of times this year due to workload and other commitments & next year is looking even busier so I would rather someone else enjoy the car rather than it just being sat gathering dust.She is lovely to drive, especially on the motorway with the overdrive that makes a real difference & she is more than happy keeping up in modern traffic around town and on the motorway. I've driven it from Doncaster to Darlington regulary up until this year and she was an absolute pleasure on the A1. As already stated all I have done is move her in and out of the workshop a couple of times this year (She was being used regularly until then & was a previous owners daily driver at one point) so could probably do wth a service and going over. The brake servo was replaced with a secondhand item when I bought the car but this needs rebuilding after the car hasn't been driven for the past 10 months - the brakes still work its a case of having to press harder with the servo needing rebuilding. Seal kits are available or I can put you in touch with someone that can do it for you The car has had repairs in the past and the paint is bubbling in places but to be perfectly honest they haven't got any worse in the 2 1/2 years I've owned the car.If you are after a concours car this isn't it - If it was it would be up for double the start price, however if you want a reliable manual Westy you can still take to shows, down the pub with your mates, a nice summer evenings drive or the annual Six Pot night then this is an affordable big Farina to enjoy.
