GAZ (Volga) 31029 an immaculate early 90

For sale. my extremely clean. low mileage Eastern bloc chod!

''Lummock'' as an early 90's Gaz -Volga (as defined on its logbook by D. V. L. A).    Specifically. a 31029 -part of the 31000 series.

I've owned him for several years. having bought him from a close friend who had it long term stored in his underground parking space. Piecing its limited history together. it seems to have been driven here from the Baltic States in the late 90's but a wiring fault  (from new!) and other minor issues prevented it passing an MOT -and therefore being UK registered.

It was used. on its original (foreign) plates here. nbsp;for a little while before being sold to a colleague who stuck it away in an underground garage in London.

I loved it from the first moment I saw it. pestered the Owner relentless &he eventually succumbed.

 I sorted the various glitch's and UK road registered him. At that time I think the odometer read 12. 00 kms. now reading high 17. 00kms. YES THATS JUST OVER 10. 00 MILES. FROM NEW!!!

If you see the car -you'll realise that is almost certainly genuine. The orange/brown cloth interior is unmarked. the black vinyl door trims undamaged. The original tyres were like new but totally unsuited to western roads. so replaced with those shown here. Even the original Russian radio is still fitted/working! Very period.

Apart from 2 small dents on the rear quarter (my mistake when my leg failed on the clutch) the car is pristine. There is no rust underneath. and apart from a small weld needing addressing on the rear flank -its as new.

The boot is unmarked. with a huge toolkit. the engine totally original -save service parts etc.

Petrol engine. 2. 5 litre -its not a fast car. but clearly built for longevity. Everything is over engineered. even double fan belts. and its never given me a moments problem. The gearbox is heavy but silky smooth. there are no strange or unwarranted noises from anything.

Sadly. its currently unused. An injury 2 years back has prevented me using him . nd a couple of recent tries that I'm probably not safe to drive him.

So. rather than sit -i'd prefer he moved on to a new owner who can drive him.

Currently out of MOT. I will re-MOT it for the new owner. if  UK based. Seems pointless if the car is to be shipped overseas. which I am happy to help with. However. if you are Nigerian. I'll be happy to accept cash only. from your driver.

Apart from the James Bond film. I know of no other. I'm not aware of any others. in the west. I've never seen another. and a beige one must be truly rare. since every Gaz I've seen has been black!  Despite plenty of exposure I have never spoken to anyone who even knows of another. Perhaps you can prove me wrong?

I'll miss Lummock- but leaving him sitting is a crime.

So. UK registered. with a Registration document (V5c) in my name. at my address. All the paperwork I hold will come with it. UK buyers will get a  full years MOT added. on receipt of a £250 paypal deposit (no refundable). I'd like the balance in cash please.
